I want another PvP roundtable the likes of which initially announced teams. I'd like to hear some more focused discussion on team composition and rule set specifics. Get Alecta on board, fire up Twitch, and bang around some ideas for community consumption.

Anyone who thinks velious is a fix for red99 is a moran, it's the final nail in the coffin (though velious IS the fix to blue99). Velious will basically cement once and for all red99 as a one guild server, with the same loyal lite crew scoopin up some out dated trak bps or shit, whoopdie doo. I didn't believe it until I tried it, but blue truly is more " competitive " than red. Hopefully teams will be the fresh start necessary to have enjoyable eq pvp over pve.

You almost have me sold on trying blue again. I honestly think Velious + Blue will be a really fun casual environment.

I don't know what this community will do with 300+ logged in, the old guard isn't going to be able to guard all the pixels from 1-60 for sure. And thats a big + in the "variety" of players department. It's much harder to grief your own team off the box.

ESPECIALLY if staff is around to ban people griefing/disrupting their own team.

There is the potential that people will share camps more openly and invite bigger groups to camps because you wont be able to hold down a zone on a skeleton of a server with a duo or trio.

Meaning more MMO for everyone and less of a diehard neckbeard only experience, (meanning neckbeards will have to l2playwithothers) unlike here were they just do the Chewie thing 24/7.

Yes their will still be neckbeards, but they will be a more potential boon to the community than they are now. Because it is human nature to make things easier on ourselves.

Please keep it classic. No Kunark etc for a long time. Let the population grow. Plenty of raid targets in classic to keep things interesting. Make the exp good so I can make an alt for low lv pvp when I get bored on my main. If exp is shitty it will drive people away like it did when red99 came out.

If you guys really think server is fun at 52+ for nonames, u need to get off your OG toons and check it out. It sucks unless you have mad gear/pvp skills and 2-3 regular playtime friends.

1. It isn't implemented before Alecta's fixes are complete and in place

2. It is properly staggered BEFORE or AFTER Vellymoose Launch

3. Team make-up is balanced as to not have a 60/30/10% representation between Evil/Neutral/Good as seen on SZ Live.

4. Atleast 3 weeks of advertisement by staff and community.

5. Classic/Kunark timeline is under six months each.

We're going to hammer some more details out over the next week or so. I would then like to gather some community feedback on the proposed ruleset.

This weekend I am going to be making a WBS (and hopefully publishing it) so people will have a clearer idea of what needs to be done / what has been done.

it's really not as easy as you think to get everyone together for things like that due to some absolutely retarded (should be illegal) schedules. even the last round table discussion had to be rescheduled a couple times due to unavoidable schedule changes. That said, i will mention to Rogean and Nilbog the idea of doing another one, and ill see what they say. Alecta actually did a Q&A about 3 weeks ago now (http://www.twitch.tv/sirkenp99/c/3091874). but like i said, i'll sound it off on Rogean and Nilbog and see what they say ;)

also, as already stated, Teams wont be released until we fix some pvp stuff (stuff that Alecta is currently working his ass off on), because there's no reason to release a server if the devs say its not ready yet.

its surely not the worst thing to listen to while at work, or in the car, or at school, or while grinding in game.

i did make a thread for alecta, and i did one in game broadcast. beyond that i was relying on player word of mouth (again, to avoid feeling like a chode). but i promise if he agrees to do another one i will shamelessly plug the Q&A ahead of time.
