you need to open up the zip, drop anything not in a folder into your main EQ directory. then anything inside a folder, drop it into the same named folder in your EQ directory.

Same thing happen to me, and i just did it again and it worked the second time.

The launcher doesn't work for me anymore, not sure why. I just use the old fashioned way with the client shortcut.

Yeah make sure you're not trying to use the launcher.
