From my few weeks in Azrael is was a unorganized mess. Instead of utilizing the exp bonus as a guild and go to fear or hate form exp grps to help lvl melee. Lite would rather get 20 people to go to Eurdin to get chased out and the few low lvl people that could of got exp are forced to log off for the night bc Strydur is injecting steroids while camping their corpse.

Three times they went to contest Trak to hear the same excuse from Lite. Something about he had the time wrong when it was gonna spawn or some shit. No variance Trak has been spawning the same time for fucking weeks. Dumb Excuse. Bad player.

The one time they did engage Trak it was with 18 people with at least 6 were not even 60. Bad calls never get pixels.

20 lvl 54+ people in fear nearly wiping 3 times is a shame. You had Lite saying kill it while the other leader Agatha was saying camp. Obv leadership was not on the same page. All the while, Lite is constantly saying how he is NEVER coming back here.
Sad thing is people that have been on this server for years were all needing on planar gear? LOL this is sad no wonder people go to Nilly for pixels, if the rebel force can not even equip these people in rags.

The final straw for me was logging on to see they had "reformed" a guild due to paranoia of spies. A PvP server with NO variance with very little to gain from a spy. Fucking stupid lulz

The difference with teams 99 is that it appeals to a far wider audience of players , primarily blue players who aren't the same drugged out scumbag flakes that make up such a large percentage of players here. I think realistically we can easily see an average pop of 350 on the teams server. Anyone who thinks teams99 is going to flop really hasn't been paying attention to the huge amount of interest on the forums from new people, again primarily blue players, in this server.

I disagree completely, and this is coming from direct experience playing in the high level raid/pvp scene on both RZ and SZ.

The hardcoded nature actually encourages PVP, not discourage. There is simply no reason to stop and think if you should attack someone - they can do absolutely nothing to help you so you attack them.

Just a small example from my daily EQ life right now...

So I've been killing spectres in Feerott. Maybe 50% of the time when I log in there is someone there. Generally it's another unguilded 40-something like myself, so I ask how many they're clearing and ask if I can take a few spawns. Sometimes we end up grouping if its a good combo. 0 times in roughly 5 levels there has there been PVP over this "contested" content. Essentially, we decide that the benefit of working together (or at least not killing each other) outweighs the benefit of a fight. Several of these people I've /friend'ed and talk to on a regular basis now, which I tend to do with any decent player I group with the population being what it is.

That's RZ style of play. If I kill this guy, next time I log in and try to get some specs and he is there, we're gonna go at it again. You form a rep and it follows you.

SZ style of play in the scenario above would go more as follows...

I log in, see someone at specs. I'm on team good, he is on team evil. I attack him. There is no decision making process, aside from the choice to engage or leave the zone. If he is the same team is me, we share, group or I leave the zone because it's camped.

On RZ, this scenario results in PVP probably less than 10% of the time. On SZ, assuming 3 evenly split and distributed teams (which of course would not happen, but for this example its good enough) it would result in PVP roughly 66% of the time.

I think the reason you believe that a SZ/Teams ruleset will result in less PVP is because you're Nihilum. In a sense, because of the size of your guild you already have a hard coded team. I think it is a fairly reasonable estimate that Nihilum makes up at least 20-30% of the level 60 population, no? So in a sense you have the worst of both worlds here, a hard coded team but also reputation to consider.

All I can say, is that from someone with experience, a teams PVP server will have MUCH more PVP.

Teams will end up being a glorified blue server once all the pvp is settled. Should be fun pvp for a few months but one guild/side will emerge as the clear winner. Now on R99 once this happened there was still pvp for many reasons. But on teams most people will just join the winning side and pvp will be extremely limited.

I have no problems with a teams server but please don't try and hide the fact people want a more bluish server.

You can't call someone a pussy because they aren't willing to play this game 12 hours a day to lead a guild. You can criticize a guild you are in if it deserves it. If Lite is making a call and then Agatha tells others to camp, going against it, the guild has a problem.

You blame Nihilum for allowing Agatha in the guild instead of insulting Agatha for joining the guild? That's laughable. Nihilum doesn't care who joins because they will control Agatha and tell it exactly what to do, giving it no input. The problem with Agatha in Azrael is that it had input. I think the reason you believe that a SZ/Teams ruleset will result in less PVP is because you're Nihilum. In a sense, because of the size of your guild you already have a hard coded team. I think it is a fairly reasonable estimate that Nihilum makes up at least 20-30% of the level 60 population, no? So in a sense you have the worst of both worlds here, a hard coded team but also reputation to consider.

All I can say, is that from someone with experience, a teams PVP server will have MUCH more PVP.

The hardcoded nature actually encourages PVP, not discourage. There is simply no reason to stop and think if you should attack someone - they can do absolutely nothing to help you so you attack them.

Last, the best players on teams will have high levels on all the teams. No one will be safe from the top guild, they'd just switch character and kill their main character's team mates to dominate everyone. People aren't going to go out of their way to help every scrub just because they are part of the same team. Theres no telling who those players are (enemy alts), and they will be working for the advancement of their own guild.

sorry pals, i know i let alot of you down. but what it gets down to is this. I don't like being left in the cold. We had a good run goin, we took trak a few times. CT once. and we atleast contested a few more.

And when the going got rough, I think all it took was like 3 losses? people stopped logging in.

I'm just not interested in waiting around for 2-5 months farming fungi or whatever until the people that havn't logged in log back in and are ready to contest. Only to grab a few more traks/ct/draco then lose a few more and then everyone stops logging in again.

This server just cant support azrael, there is nothing wrong with lite, its the members. From self centered loot whores who complain about non existant loot, to questioning every decision that is made. To not attending the raids and farming seb/guk instead. To simply just not caring about the guild.

I could nitpick a few things lite did wrong but his heart was in the right place and he gave it his all, so did i. I feel bad for lite, he works his ass off for members that don't care. And that ultimately is what made my final decision for me. The majority of azrael just doesn't care.
