My Goal

So, this is a long way off because I still have to level up my druid. But let me say before I start that I've really enjoyed this server so far and I think it deserves more attention, thanks for all the amusing ooc convos and those of you who have given me cash for spells, items, and just helped in general, to name a few

Anyway. On blue I often find myself going from zone to zone asking if anyone needs help, buffs, corpse drag, camps split, advice, spell money, etc. and I'd like to do that here - with the assistance of my guild tag. Basically make it so when you join the server you have a community to talk to. Right now at the low end it feels very top heavy, and the players I do meet typically are much better than me and I know I'm at the whim of their auto attack. Surprisingly no one has really bothered me yet outside of a few basic, civil PvP encounters. No training, exp griefing, CCing, etc.

So my goal is to setup that framework with KWSN, donno if I'll be able to do it, but at the same time I'm trying to make a bridge from blue to red via my guild on blue. In blue guildchat there has been discussion of the red versions of ourself and I'll often hear that someone is hopping over to get an invite.. which is why I made my druid Stembolt here. Its nearly impossible to manage a guild without being able to port, and once I get Stem up to 29 or so for those niche ports, the guild should really come together fast.

Anyway, hope it develops like I think it may. I'm optimistic. Thanks for having me.

like 120+ but about 40 of those people only log in Trak day. Another 40 are twinks who've got every char slot maxed with twink gear and randomly PK everything they can. The rest are just cool people.

This is actually going to be really challenging setting up a guild here just because.. what do we stand for? On blue we're all about helping people and giving players an environment to ask questions, but here? The server is all about combat and contention, and I can't legislate PvP. People are gonna argue over camps, items, money, trains, but at least here they can do something about it. My current speculation is just that some sort of creed or goal will come together over time.

Anyways, being from PvP servers (VZ, RZ, SZ) for all of my lengthy EQ career I know the dynamics of a PvP server. I recall the anti-pk guilds on RZ and VZ (no such idea existed on SZ), and that is NOT what we wanna be. We're not trying to bring order to the chaos, but mostly a structure in which new players can jump in and not have to commit to and end game raid guild to get a port more than once a week. Basically expand the player-base. Also I know this is a dumb thing to try, since ya know, no one has succeeded in doing it but ya know.. whatever. I'm still trying.

My experience here has mostly been solo-quest, with a few run ins here and there with another new player, and.. that is the reason I believe that people don't stick around. So if there is a guild that goes around and helps people find other alts and noobs to play with, maybe 4 or 5 of those who never log in again will check back to see what their friends are up to, and.. snowball effect.
