Not sure about the overall offence of a chanter yet, but from my time on red from 1-40 i've noticed it's extremely easy to Mez and gtfo if you have to. From a surviveing standpoint it seems like mez/gate is much more reliable than root or snare should you get jumped during a fight or* something.

Druid but there are a ton of druids, enchanters are ok too if you make a good druid friend that plays all that time and can port you..

Not sure how anyone can argue that chanter isn't the best and easiest solo class in game for both leveling and farming, and solid at pvp until end game when you become a rapture / pillage bot.

Druid level 1-mid 20's is probably the hardest class for me to play. Paladins almost out heal them in groups and their solo ability at those low levels are terrible.

Necromancers are styling for the whole game. Definitely the way to go for fun. Druid is better PVP though.

necromancer is the most from naked-60 versatile and powerful without gear and item farming.

enchanter is sure badass, but it requires specific tactis

a necro can level anywhere easily without much effort

It's a necro. Best casual solo, best at surviving. You're actually good at pvp until 50. Then after that just shadowstep, gate, and come back later and try to drop a dickload of dots on that person who hopefully forgot about you and is fighting a mob.

For the record, Mage class really only good for one mob at a time, Necro's are the king.
