Hi. So I'm going to give it a go here. If you don't want to hear someone ramble on about history, intention, and various other nothings please post a kitten gif. Or puppy, everyone likes puppies.
My sig basically tells you who I am, no one of note really, just an enthusiast. I jumped over here first, but others in my guild have shown interest when I mentioned having some sort of "Red Day of Ni" where anyone interested in PvP rolls on a day when we can all play and group together. I know I'll be playing here at least to mid-level, I want to feel it out and likely I'll stay longer than that.
I'm a former Vallon(<1yr) Rallos(>1yr) and Sullon(>3yr) player who never played blue until p99. EQ felt gutted at first, too safe, too sterile. But I learned to enjoy it, the bickering was a bit of an adjustment and the play nice policies. I had to learn to be polite, learn to ask how long someone would be at a camp, etc. Foreign concepts at the time. I was used to just causing a bit of chaos and taking what I wanted. Having most recently played Sullon, the situation in VP on blue is what I'm used to the raid scene being like. I find it sorta nostalgic actually. Defending zones with trains was "a day in the life" on SZ and Speedd could make some pretty terrific PoInnovation and PoN trains. Epic.
So I'll be playing here now, starting as an enchanter. Not sure what to expect but I'll learn as I go. All PvP servers are so different, and this one being so many years after the original EQ that was full of mystery, I'm certain a lot has been figured out here that we didn't know before, so it should be new and fun.
I'm not coming over twinked, I plan to start with nothing and work my way up. I plan to die often, be farmed, camped, and rooted next to mobs that will surely batter me down. But I'll do my best. I know a bit about the guild scene from the forums but its never accurately represented on the forums.
I don't care for drama, /ooc amuses me and I'll take part but all these years later I still find it puzzling how people can get mad at a game. Just shrug, laugh it off, and log. Come back to fight another day.

Oh, another reason. Despite him getting made fun of often on blue forums. Is Samwise. Despite his persistent postings and requests (often amusing) for people to play red, and being constantly insulted, I don't recall having ever seen him lash out, respond childishly, or get butthurt. He seems to take everything in strides. Good respresentin'
