Not sure, but i have the feeling that my screen is too dark after the latest patch. Is there a way to increase the ingame gamma without using the slider? Im playing this on a Mac and for whatever reason, the ingame gamma slider is without function.

Anyone else experience the same? It's so bad, i can only play with Ultravision these days.

If you're using Mac, you must be using WineSkin. If that's the case, open contents of your p99 application, go to Wine and open it. Then go to screen options where there you'll be able to alter Wine's gamma.

Yes i found that slider in Wineskin. Wheni adjust it, i can see the brightness (of the entire Desktop, including EQ) go up or down but only for 1 sec and then reverts back to the old setting immediately. That happens both when i have P99 open or not.

Any tips on that? :)

Also,
it appears that at night, the moon is missing and is replaced by some pink area. So maybe something messed up on my install too but no clue really.

Just to follow up - for whatever reason my resource folder was empty beside the Globaload and 2 more files.

After having copied it back, the sky is back and with that the lightning too. Finally no more dark screen :)

This one fixed it for me. When copying a folder over from the zipped updates it can replace the actual directory contents rather than merge the data.

Copying the original content fixes up some of the brightness issues and makes the game playable but the gamma is still lower than the pc version. Won't complain though ;)

Drakaris can you explain which files you had to replace? I am having this exact same issue. I looked above to nagus69's comment about the empty Resources folder. Mine was pretty empty too but even after putting the correct files back into the Resources folder I still have an incredibly dark screen. Also running Wine on a Macbook. When I turn the gamma up it does the same thing as stated above....it goes bright for about 1 second and then back to normal. It doesn't affect the brightness in game at all.

I can't play at night in this game, please help!
