I just loaded this up today, and have fallen victim to the classic newb pitfall...

I'm stuck in the water surrounding the cleric guild in Neriak, and can't get out due to the slight height of the land above the water.. am I screwed?

Actually, this board is probably one of the few places where people do get it :)

Do you play in 3rd person? You can't swim if you do. Zoom in to first person and you'll have sufficient controls to aim your camera up and pop out of the water.

*FLASHBACK* Wow, my first toon ever was an inkie sk, and darned if I didn't fall into the water too, with no idea how to get out... I'd say hit numlock to put it on autorun, hit ALT O to bring up your options window, and click on the Keys tab to learn what keystrokes will let you tilt your swimming angle up enough to jump out of the water.

Or die and fish your corpse out with /corpse. Either/Or. :D
