Sudden login issues

My screen went black yesterday on my way to a group. My screen wasn't detecting the signal from my PC.

Now I crash EVERY time after character select for my main character.


My alts I can log in, but they crash at every other zoning.


My video issue prior in the day was caused by some beta drivers. I fixed that issue and all my other games are running flawless(Battlefield 4, Smite, War of the Roses)


Anyone have any thoughts?

I'm using Nvidia's new beta drivers for Battlefield 4 on a GTX 660 Ti. Maybe they don't like EQ?

I can 25% of the time, login now. But I still freeze at every zone. Server select is now blank too, until i hit the admin button.

I disabled loading screen graphics. Now I can't even get to character select.

I can't zone or login. Reinstallation sounds like my only option.

Are you using bexar internet by chance?

No i've never heard of bexar.

Last night I could log on an alt and zone just fine *by skipping server select and logging directly into the server*


Today it is the only way I can log in. I'm planning a reinstall when im not lazy.

And I just looked at my ping... 5,000 ping. I think it might be something on my router? I opened up the 5998 port.

Problem solved I think. My router stopped letting wireless devices connect and my guess is port forwarding also stopped working. I reset the router, updated firmware, and port forwarded 5998, and everything seems smooth.
