My level 60 Erudite Paladin of Prexus is having some trouble with his own faction, the Deepwater Knights. I had assumed Inte Akera would recognize one of his own and no faction work would be necessary to complete with Fiery Avenger quest, as it turns out this is not the case, as Akera simply ate SoulFire without a word (which Sirken fortunately restored). As silly as it seemed to build my own faction in order to complete the quest, I went to back to Odus to do just that. After killing Elial Brook and Aglthin Dasmore perhaps a dozen times each, I went to Erudin to try the Odus Pearls quest only to find that Weligon Steelherder (a Deepwater trainer) apparently didn't trust me enough to issue the quest (he says something to that effect when I mentioned "Deepwater tasks").

I have never done anything to diminish my faction standing with the Deepwater Knights, and at this point I suspect there is something amiss with the basic faction standing of Erudite Paladins (at least those who follow Prexus).

Thanks.

Everything looks to be working as intended except Weligon Steelherder should be giving most of those starting noob quests (pearls of odus, diseased sharks, etc) at amiable or better (the starting faction level for Paladins of Prexus). Fixed, pending update on that.

Inte Akera may have recognized you to be a Deepwater Knight, but to him you were no hero or paragon of virtue worthy of his blade.

You indeed have a leg up on Deepwater faction over all other Paladins, but in no way shape or form are you automatically a hero until you've proven yourself though good deeds to the temple.

Luckily it sounds like Sirken gave you your quest item back from your failed quest and you can return to Intel after you've proven yourself more.

Fair enough, thank you.
