Okay you fucking shit stains of red players, I am going to give your server a try.







Splain to me how to get started in red. I want to play a pure power gamer aspect for my first setup, so what should I pick? Class doesn't really matter to me as long as I rock dat solo.

make a HIE ENC so you can level super fast and farm any item in the game with ease for a class that you will probably enjoy more

if you level up a bit on your own, someone will probably give you a weapon or two they have rotting in the bank, long as it's not top tier lewts

I enjoy both of these classes a lot, but, I like to solo 70% of the time. War is okay to solo if you don't mind being at 50% life always. Rogue isn't soloable w/o a fungi in my experience. How are necros in red?

necro = least played. dont usually fair well in pvp because their dots get dispelled/cured by cure potions, and their lifetaps do less than pure nukes. but with the patch they might do better, who knows too early to tell.

in general I don't think they're as bad as ppl say they are. they are very good pve solo, and if you can get a dot buried like pyrocruer, your opponent would have to eat it unless he wanted to click off all his buffs

Hmmm.. how do enchanters fair? How exactly do people level rogues solo on this server? Do they just get pl'd?

Rogue is for the establishment, chanter is for the working class folk

Wiz if you want the yellow texts and don't really want to level multiple characters right off the bat. Fastest way into pvp regardless of whatever resist changes are coming out.

Wiz - Shadowstep, levi and range all the spells. Use bolts and cast as they run up to you, u usually get first cast everytime. Shock of Lightening can interrupt gates or spells. But shadowstep/running is #1 at avoiding getting hit.

Chanter if you want to be godlike at doing whatever you want by yourself so you can just roll a war and crush everything with 200mr.

You mez a caster and drain their mana. Tash, then nuke or pet down. In pvp. They will always be outnuked by druids, wizards, and mages in a straight up nuke fight. Really well geared melees will laugh in your face. Although still a very solid group vs group pvp class.

All the melees are endgame boss with gear. They can't really be beat. Jousting is super fun.

You don't level a rogue on this server. You either get it pl'd or buy a fungi + 2 weaps or epic 1.0. I have one at 28 which can solo with crap gear. But its incredibly slow and you die to every 1v1 pvp encounter vs anyone with half a brain without gear. It's not impossible. But I wouldn't do it if you don't have a year+ to level up.

Oh yeah, and the oft overlooked uber class, bards. Their drawbacks are zero downtime (I would say in pretty much all situations, unless you afk manasong)

if u said ur trying to min/max doing anything other then leveling an enc to be a farmbot and then rolling a super twinked out pvp focused class is dumb

getting the farmbot going shud be priority

i don't think it's impossible to level up even a warrior or rogue on this server as a new player. just need to TALK to ppl. and be willing to put in some time. asking questions usually gets you help, not hate (but you may get ooc trolled..)

newbs think they can roll up without making any friends, or that everyone will KOS them. if you just /shout or /ooc a bit, it ain't gonna be that hard.

if you don't ppl WILL kos you. and you will become depressed after 2 weeks and want to quit. but if you strike up some short convos you are less likely to be murdered, because your fellow players know you mean no harm (usually).

i leveled a nude monk here to 51 b4 i got bored and sold it

its not hard at all to level a melee in unrest to 40ish then in CoM to the mid 50s with even walmart gear

just smarter to get a farm bot

rogue was fine leveling up new but soon as i got lvl 50 shit changed as far as trying to compete if your not geared. def wouldnt suggest it. bard is a great class and one the most needed and faster classes to lvl here, just dont plan on grouping a ton 30-50 unless you make some good pals. more of a solo during those lvls.

I think I am gonna roll a bard. I think that will be perfect. I have enjoyed swarming.
