I remember taking my eq manual to school one time, think I was in 4th grade it was the thicker velious one or it may of actually of been kunark cant exactly recall. But the second everyone looked at my desk they thought it was porn and my teacher came over and started freaking out and I told her it was a manual for a game that i was playing so I showed her the insides of the book and she asked me to keep the book covered. I never thought that a female high elf chained to a wall with a lizard drew so much attention...

These old manuals make for excellent dump reading.

I read my classic eq strat guide during freshman study halls, i went cover to cover like 4 times a day back then. The kunark strat guide I did that fall every study hall.

Studying is study right?

if you look in that prima kunark guide enchanters are supposed to get Illusion sex change but it was never implemented I think it would have been awesome, especially if it stacked with racial illusion!

Heh, even the standard game manuals describe some things that never existed during that era.

Kunark manual in the Guilds section..

Guild Halls
Each city has guite a few guild halls for non player (NPC) guilds. This is usually where you'll find the guild leader and trainers. Some of the larger, player created guilds may purchase halls as well.

Kunark game guide foreshadowing to like 7 expansions away lol.

The Kunark guide was when it really started to sink in how useless strategy guides were

But I've looked in that book for nostalgia so many times I wouldn't sell it for 200 dollars

Your teacher hassled you about EQ pictures? Oh dear... she probably would have had a stroke over the 1e D&D books I used to bring to class.
