Is there a non-movement timer? If my char doesn't move for a while will the game log out automatic?

I'm going to go with no. A lot of people don't do anything in EC.

I just accidentally left myself logged in the night before last night and I was definitely still logged in when I woke up the next morning.
*Edit*
Come to think of it, EQ has to work this way; though it's not relevant on this particular server, once Luclin (and the bazaar) comes out being able to leave your character logged in AFK for long periods of time becomes a necessity.

As for the movement timer, no - I've left my monk in EC afk for nearly 4 days in a row without a single button press.
24/7 EC twitch channel hopefully
Skip the twitch and just upload to ahungry.

Aww. I was thinking the op was talking about timing med ticks so I could sit for half a sec every 6 to catch med ticks while still covering 90% of the distance I would normally.
If I played a sham you can bet I'd have gtt set up to remind me of every tick.

I've tried this before and with running thrown in there it doesn't seem to register the tick.
Both my mana bar % and total mana count will jump as the tick passes but then promptly recede when I start to move. I can't seem to get the timer right without wasting another second on each side of the tick essentially giving me 1 second over a 6 second period to do any running.

gtt = gamtexttrigger? What's going into your log file that will accurately reflect a "server tick"?
Something else I've been wondering: do DoT ticks happen at the same time med ticks do... haven't ever really studied it, but it seems like they don't line up.
I would assume dot ticks would be based off when the spell landed and not on a server time scale for a tick naking them not in sync with each other unless you happened to land it right when the med tick actually hits. I played a warrior on live so I could be talking out of my ass but that's what I would assume.

Yeah, I know what you mean, Inma. I feel like I barely have enough time to use 3-second manna robe clicky between med ticks and sit back down in time to catch the next one usually.

Its tough to juggle and requires more time. Even when canni'ing I still have trouble getting an initial "dance" rythym down because of the server vs. Client tick.
Oh well, figuring some of this stuff out is what makes the game fun and separates the mice from the men. It was like finding out how to wave-dash in melee - shit was game changing.
