The Rebirth is a blizzlike realm celebrating "Vanilla" WoW. We are only 1x rates, now and forever, as that is part of the real experience. Content is very solid and improving. Our feedback allows us to consider ourselves the best and we know you will agree. We currently are gaining population at a very good rate. There is raiding on both faction sides up through Onyxia, including MC and ZG. BWL has opened its doors and Razorgore awaits you.

I actually just started playing an undead warlock. Having just joined the server and "The Revival" guild i can say its pretty amazing at how well done the server is.I started 2 days ago and i haven't experienced any server dc's or lag spikes like you experience on molten or emerald dream. The server pop is small, was like 200ish on horde side tonight around 8pm but there were 30 online in "The Revival" guild, all within 1-25 range.

Come check it out if you guys want a true wow classic experience with no lag and server stability.

The population basically got destroyed because within the first few months of it starting, Scriptcraft started with their auto-lvl 50 crap and attracted all the people who didn't feel like "the grind, lol" of wow.

I have a 60 lock and a 52 warrior. I got on a few days ago to check it out. Seems that they are advertising more for it now, so hopefully the population starts growing more.

Agree with the coding statement, never understand why the population on that server ended up so piss poor. Emerald Dream is sporting 2k+ on the weekends easily, and there is no shortage of US guilds there.

I'll have to change my realmlist one of these off-nights and check it out again, 60 rogue and 5X mage collecting dust for ages now.

Just did a level 1 hogger raid with the gm staff and about 30 others, the reward was the alliance stormwind or the horde frostwolf tabards.

The revival guild is spot on right now, Yeah population still low, but its going up.

Always said it was low but a well scripted and coded server, was never trying to con anyone. So knunckle go away!

I rolled an undead rogue on here over a year ago and maybe got to lvl 15? Thought it was pretty cool, very stable, just low pop at the time. Wondering if it's worth bothering the game staff for my forgotten login and password. :confused:

Rerolled a few times but currently enjoying druid life on the alliance.

Never enjoyed alliance on live, hated their levelling paths compared to horde, the attitude of the "kids" was a lot worse, and horde did (and still does) tick more boxes...its good to be evil.

Tauren druids though? I always lol'ed at hornbear, going to give the night elf variety a go.

When I get to WSG level, watch me cap tons of flags... it was an art ;)

True, I played an enhancement shaman on live though... which was nerfed to fuck during TBC. Replace your big 2h axe with a couple of daggers to go STABBY STABBY STABBY with? Not classic :(

They kept failing on me, I am not sure why. Torrent might be my only option. Not that gung ho to get in, but interested. I might play around this weekend see if I can get it working.

The Rebirth is the Project1999 of vanilla WoW. Server has been up 2+ years already? And Freakyuno is still going at it.

Would definitely recommend playing there if you're devoted to the vanilla grind. XP rates are classic. I stopped playing when the population plummeted. But looks like it might b building up again. Might have to log in again!

Was also thinking since this thread has some people who started playing on the server a bit ago and might be coming back, maybe we could help people interested in starting on the server. Possibly through crafting or something.

Characters and trade skills:
Drakkish: 60 Orc lock / Tailoring 300 and Skinning 300 / I can make all kinds of cloth gear including full Felcloth set and Robe of Winter Nights along with all bags. Of course, I don't have many mats since I haven't played in a long time, but I could craft at no charge.

Damian: 52 undead warrior / I didn't tradeskill much with him, Mining a little over 200 I think

Sejina: my wife's 24 troll shaman / Enchanting, mostly just to DE stuff

So I guess Freakyuno doesn't own this project any more, which I didn't know. Chatted with the new owner (GM Muggle in game) and she seems pretty nice too though.

It's too bad the remaining player base on that server is so volatile.

I haven't played on Rebirth so I can't really make much distinction, but I am enjoying my time on Emerald Dream. Population is high. Currently a 24 Troll Rogue.

They aren't comparable in terms of vanilla accuracy, working quests and accurate raid encounters etc.

Unfortunately for Rebirth, a huge part of their playerbase jumped ship for Scriptcraft because of the huge xp bonus to get to end game raiding quicker. Then that server folded, twice, and a lot of players ended up on Emerald Dream anyways, back at 1x xp.

Don't really get it myself. Rebirth has proven to have better longevity, stability and accuracy. Not sure why anyone would pick a Feenix server at all.

I can't this thing to work no matter what I try. I tried the patch using my discs for vanilla and the patch won't run. I tried the download of the rebirth site and it keeps giving me errors. About to throw in the towel at this point.

Also, if people happen to have any latency issues, get the Leatrix Latency fix. http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/info13581-LeatrixLatencyFix.html I'm not sure if it is my overseas connection, but I was having latency issues and that fixed it right up.

Most of us are already in the Revival guild. Hit up any revival member in game and they can get an officer to invite you at any.

Finally got the game to work. Apparently I kept getting corrupted downloads for some reason. Anyway, I went with a Tauren Shaman. Been a couple years since I played WoW and I have to say it feels rather clunky after some recent MMO's. I'll work on some levels tonight though.

Oddly enough coming back to EQ didn't feel so clunky because I had been playing RIFT before returning. Since then I have been playing some newer games like GW2 where the movement and combat is more fluid. So logging into WoW felt odd readjusting. Damn if GW2 isn't boring as hell though.

If you are so inclined, Ghazkult Horde side would love some gold and damn do I need some bags!

Some basic info that seems to be missing

The rebirth:

Freakyuno and random other devs have helped make this the best scripted server.
Alot of bugs are fixed.

Population: sucks. It's not well known. It's not really advertised.




Emerald dream. (Part of the feenix group)

Pvp server

Crafting

The feenix team has done alot of fixes and core merges
Not as nice as freakyuno.

The honor rank system is in place. With pvp rewards
Population is nearly double or triple of rebirth.
But less then feenix's other 14x or instant 60 servers

Raid content is currently bwl.
They release raid content over time. Like rebirth does (did?)



Bottom line?

Rebirth- nearly 90% bug free. Small population
Emerald dream- almost 75% bug free. large population

Population does matter, but I am enjoying it being quiet right now. It does feel a bit eerie when walking through Org and I see one person.
