I am still playing (even though you all don't know what toon, this time I'm going stealth ninja mode because I do not need Nihilum and all the box legends down my shit).

This is still hands down the best MMO community outside of a close nit group of friends on Eve or WoW.

This is still the #1 game, even if its not perfectly classic or fixed up. EQ has more persistence than Skyrim and more Lore and depth and meaning than Minecraft. Its also more sandboxy than WoW. Not that those games suck or anything. They just aren't EQ. EQ is the alterverse where my spirit goes to relax in the pixelated shade. Its easy, its chill, and its where Norrath bends to my will.

Despite all the exploits and cheating. Those of us that do know eachother to have clean whistles and pixels bro-ham it up.

Also getting killshots on people like MrBigs and his level 60 varient, Tune. Doesn't happen all the time. But god. It feels real good when you do.

If you're a bluebie looking to start up a new toon, red is the place to do it for sure. That xp bonus is awesome and every zone is open to xp in up til solb lguk seb etc. Grab some friends and make some new toons here, you'll be mid game in no time. And people like me that actually care about the pop will help along the way.

Though I cannot play as I wish currently in the 50+ range (connection issues + not wanting the guilt of letting my linkdead kill someone else) I do play number of lower level characters where death isn't that big of a deal in the 20-40 range.

It's true our numbers are waay down atm but there is still a handful of people leveling up out there. They will not come seeking you. If you want groups you have to make them. It's a bit of a burden but when you do get a grp going it usually sets a trend and you can get at least a duo goin most of the time.

I cannot stress enough, the value of being able to attack other players. I played on blue for about 6 months before I came here. I have tried to log on blue here and there and even on nights when we only have 28 on red, I still can never get myself to play for more than a mana bar on blue.

From the outside red looks like a pretty hostile place, but if you give the stockholm time to marinate, it really starts to grow on ya. And you just might enjoy yourself.

Novice tips:
- Forget your sense of American Entitlement, tl;dr: you can't always get what you want. You will be killed here and there are lots of bigger fish. Take the hint and move a long, no one gives a fuck or wants to hear about how tough shit is in unrest for you.

- lvl up more than one character so you don't get caught up in your, by now, life long habitual role as the victim of any given situation. Crying about a corpse?gtfo'ere

- Use your words. Also, if they don't reply, now would be a good time to check your pvp buff/spell setup.

- don't afk all night like a little faggot and then get the one good thing this community had goin for it banned because you're a whiny little future nihi-app bitch who can't handle the consequences of your actions and are thus, in the opinion of the great many, cheating and using precious server resources to do so. I targetted checkraise right off the bat, wanded him multiple charges and switched to casters. After majority of our side was dead/plugged or still fighting on one side, I was playing zone hop with about a dozen nihi for a good 5 minutes while Cholk kept trying to turgurs me, Plagueis was trying to pell me, Someone else was trying to roots and immoblize me. Eventually had Dekadenz on one side, Tune on the other and I didn't feel like seeing their broken bard stun only to get raped by all the melee they had me sandwiched between.

Did you guys Rune V everyone in the raid? I am guessing since it was for VS you brought alot of peridots and wasn't a big deal. Every single person not pelled deep had Rune.

So I run there and proceed to destroy the entire group, despite them all being with 1-3lvls of myself, Keebla died, Zexo plugged, and Lucky gated.

Lucky returns a few mins later with Tune! Although I can fight entire groups the 14 sec bard stun is game ender for me, so I was forced to retreat. Lucky and group went back to griefing the lowbs out of MM.

Nihilum once again continues to be the scum of the server! The best part was when Tune said I was griefing lvl 40's, what hypocrisy!
