I actually joined Nihi for some easy gear plan was for me to go back to the resistance but Nihi wasn't giving up pixels so easy and I wasn't putting enough time in raiding! Got tired of the Classic and Kunark. Funny thing happened was that I actually liked the nihi people!

id also like to add the main reason I quit ( everytime ) is being purely disgusted when another friend or fellow resistance player decided to give up and join <Hate>. I wouldn't care if it was one or two

Once I came to the conclusion I could not realistically ever compete with the neckbeards or most of the 52+ pop unless I quit my job and stopped going to college my /played dropped off to under 5 hours a week.

The community here is total shit and I encountered less than 3 people I would actually enjoy playing everquest with. I could never subscribe to the childishness that is a red99 guild.

What's fisherprice about ff14. If you suck u will never progress. Since its only 4 person parties it's impossible to carry a retard once u hit the higher level dungeons.

Maybe it's because I play healer but this game is the most involved I've had to be as a healer, especially boss fights. No sitting down and Ching when needed. There's are insta death moves, aoes, points when boss ignores agro and goes after random person, ect. Seriously at times it feels like total chaos.

Playing MMOs, either gameplay has to be really good or backstory at least mildly hooky. As a thaumaturge im just burning my mana on fire, switching to ice when im out, rinse repeat with the occasional sleep CC. Thats not really engaging gameplay and setting feels a bit too kiddy-ish for me.

I gotta admit though i ride the chocobo just to hear dat music.

ya story is okay, it does get dark tho. a few things i was like wtf

you learn about a girl who was raped over and over
learn about girls getting theirs faces cut off for some ritual
so far a few of the good storyline NPCS have been brutally murdered, you have to pick up their corpses and bring them to some ship to be buried.

im only lvl 40 so i havent even finished the story.

the dungeons were ez until brayflox/sunked (30+) still not bad but everyone has to pay attention. i think healer is the most essential role. they will make or break the group. i think people accustomed to just keeping the tank alive and throwing the occasional heal to dps will be in for a surprise.

Got that eve feeling yesterday as i joined a clan and had to run through some enemy territory to get to my "0.0 space" city

Its grindy but what MMO isnt, and occured to me recently that "questing" is alot more open ended than some other MMOs like FF

Lots of feats from which u get XP are like kill 900 mobs. Theres alot like them. So that means that basically at any time you can join a group of guildies and not having to worry about being in the wrong part of the quest

Only thing i notice is worst to me than 1.0 is that the map is smallerish

I sure dont miss going against people who macro 24-7 and could be maxed in every class and skill in the game

-Combat has been dumbed down so that a blind person with 1 hand can be competitive.
-Resources are no longer valuable, you get essence from harvesting/killing anything.
-Safe Zones.......
-1/4 of the content promised was available at launch (launch happened 4 months after their planned date).
-Top tier clans played for about 3 weeks then quit cause they understood how shitty the game was.
-If you played at launch you could sit down and "Rest" and out-heal someone who was getting critical hits on you from behind aka "Restfall."
-Skill ceiling is incredibly low so elite players have difficulty winning outnumbered (in original Darkfall you could mow down noobs like nobodies business if you were good).
-I could go on and on... Game is trash... Company is trash... Should go play HoN instead.

Dont get whats so different from DF1 skillwise, you mean the way it plays and hitboxes and shit?

I do have my gripes with the game, like its fucking lame that you can get every herb in the game from some magical bush that grows carrots and cottons and blueberries.

Also hate lightning towers, should be guards instead
