Hey guys, i don't mean to sound like i'm complaining but holy crap!
I have had a ticket open for about a week or more with no response,
i'm not sure if my request is being ignored or if they're just super busy, hell any response would be great!
But since i am kinda new here overall, what is the average wait time for a response? My topic is about an IP exemption,
considering i have a family member that also wants to play and sharing the hours between the day is a little frustrating lol.

Could take 4 hours or 4 weeks, the server is run by volunteers so they will get to it when they get to it.

It depends on the type of request. IP exemptions can't be done by guides, who handle a bunch of the day to day stuff.

Really Alecta?
dang I opened up a petition ingame and apparently the guide told me he has to wait for the main staff to do it, or something like that.
Honestly i wasn't under the impression that doing an IP exemption wasn't all that difficult or time consuming,
but i guess i was wrong.
I'm just a little frustrated lol, EverCrack addition is kicking in and i can't play near as much as i want to considering
i have to share play time with a family member, ugh.

You posted a petition on the petition section right?
beware though, if you 2 box you will be banned.

Yeah i have been bumping it everyday, usually twice or so.
Yep i know the rules about multiboxing and i don't wish to do that.
I legitimately want to play with a family member, we used to play EQ together years ago
and it's frustrating we can't play at the same times, as i said, taking turns is very annoying.

IP exemptions are done in batches, so you just gotta be patient. On the bright side, it used to take months and now at worst its a couple weeks.

Pretty sure they say not to bump ip expemtions. That could be your problem.
IP exemptions are done in batches every few weeks. Stay patient and it will be processed.
IP Exemptions are also the one thread you actually don't want to bump.
Go here:
http://www.project1999.org/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=25
Click "New Thread"
Choose "IP Exemption" in the prefix drop down list. Make sure you include both your account and the other account's name, and the relationship of the other person you will be playing with.
Please be mindful that these are performed in batches, so it may take a few weeks to be set up.

IP exemptions are done oldest to newest, every time you bump your ip exemption thread you are going to the back of the list....

I created a one a couple weeks ago, fully expecting it to take weeks+, and I randomly checked a few days later to notice it had already been granted without me noticing. Moral(s) of the story are:
1. As someone mentioned, server is run by volunteers. You get what you get, and you should be grateful for it.
2. Double-check to make sure it hasn't already been granted without you noticing.
3. Did you really think it was going to help your case to make TWO SEPARATE threads to complain about it? Sigh. http://www.project1999.org/forums/showthread.php?p=1108488#post1108488

Thought you were going to say six months or something... Seriously complaining about a week?

Boxing is tempting. Don't let it burn you. It would suck to have to start over.

All of this... plus as also mentioned, don't bump the thread - impatience will make you wait even longer :D

Best way is to harass Sirken on his twitch account, via irc, in game via direct tells and petitions on both red and blue, and by making ten to twenty posts on your petition thread a day, IMO. Has never failed for me.

Holy crap, i go away and come back to all of this uhm, ok so originally taking advice for bumping was a super bad idea and i'll stop now lol.
I have double checked and it hasn't been granted yet.
And yes a second thread was clearly more effective considering all the responses i got, with better advice. :)
Thanks everyone, at least at this rate i know i'm very far behind on the list. ^.^

I got my ip exemption in about one week. I never bumped it and just left it alone. It is a server run by volunteers so anything they do in any time frame is a gift to you, so be gratefuI

That was me. And yes, the staff is extremely, extremely busy right now. We do IP Exemptions in batches, and there just hasn't been a ton of time to do them. The staff on this project are all volunteers, none of us get paid to do this (despite what the tinfoils hatters would leave you to believe), and we all have real lives.
Like I said when you asked, your IP Exemption could take some time. Go ahead and bump your IP Exemption about ~once every few days (ip exemptions are usually the one petition thread you should *not* bump, but since everyone is so busy lately, go ahead and do it every 2-3 days) or so. I understand that when things like this take time it can be frustrating, but I assure you that you aren't the only one waiting. I can also assure you that if you ask a member of the staff a question in-game, and they give you an answer, asking again in server chat probably will not give you a different answer :D
Be patient. Staff's real busy right now.

For IP exemptions this is normally true, right now staff is pretty swamped though, so bumping your IP exemption is ok (Just for the next few weeks) every 2-3 days or so.
Just remember to be polite and patient still.
Now for OTHER petition threads, those you can bump ~once a day. I never used to think that was ok, until I realized how many petitions there actually are, and how easy it is for your thread to get buried. You still need to be patient and polite, but no one is going to mind if you bump your petition once a day!
