eh, every high end guild i have been in mainly consisted of highly successful people who set there own hours, I have met plenty of people from EQ. Everyone has been fairly well off.

Me and Jupe have always been highly motivated in anything we do and we have a motto to make money for ourselves, not other people. Why you won't catch us working a 9 to 5. When I work I work for me and my family, noone else. And that mindset has afforded me the luxury to play EQ as many hours a day as I want, or take my boat out on the weekends, or take expensive cruises to bermuda or whatever the fuck i feel like doing.

I think most people who accuse people of being on welfare who play alot are just jealous they don't have the same lifestyle. And i don't mean by how we play EQ all day, but more as in we do whatever we want because we don't have any kind of financial restraint.

Break free from being a slave and put yourself inbetween the money, stop working for others and start working for yourselves and you too can have the luxury of doing whatever you want someday. Me and jupe dropped out of school when i was 13 and he was 12 to pursue our career. I'm 26 and im pretty much retired and the only reason I work still is because i enjoy doing what i do. It's more of a hobby then a job. Don't get me wrong at first it was hard work but once i got my company to the point were it ran itself life has been smooth sailing ever since.

There is a flaw in your logic. Anyone who takes a career seriously and has the motivation to be successful would never be worthless enough to devote 14+ hours a day to a video game. Spells always have had a 5% chance of randomly landing. So dragon being snared/stunned/rooted once out of 100 is more than ok.

Here is the bottom line. We've been doing fine with the same resist code for quite some time. You win some, you lose some. You just cant get over the fact that you need a higher skill to win vs people who, well, know the game better than you.

Cwall, I don't think you are self proclaimed most pvp solo melee. You always had someone with you 80% of the time. Unless you went to camp noobs (quite often).

Stories get skewed so much by ego its pretty hilarious. Again, fact is jack, we dealt with it, BW dealt with it, Doomfist has dealt with it, and yet here you are crying about a stun landing every now and then.

My input, if it isn't as obviously stated, is the resists are fine. I think you need to re-evaluate your choice on gear to compensate for you lower play style.
Remember boys, this isn't live. It's a progressive server built by incredibly awesome people. The goal is to balance pvp. A cleric (me) landing 1 stun out of 9 casts (which costs about 1000m) should be acceptable. It's a risk that sometimes pays off.

I didn't say anything about you doing what it is you want to do. There are lots of people playing on this emulator doing what they want to do all day but their real life suffers.

I'm going to sum up the pvp issue for you all now.

EQ is 14 years old. Pvpers like pvp, and carebears like PVE. No ruleset involving pvp will make the majority of carebears reroll. The only way to increase population is to take it upon yourself to advertise the server. FFA for pvpers is fine, teams would be stupid as everyone would just reroll to the winning team and turn into carebears. Make friends on FFA if you want to group. One guild at the top that can't be taken down? So contest the spawns, form your own group and farm what they don't have time for, join them, or do something else.

tldr: Nothing will fix red99 unless you convince your friends and grandma to roll bards so we can all just afk mez each other and LARP.
