Wanting to start on Red

I really want to start on Red and get into Everquest PvP because i never got to on live.
Are there any things i should know before starting? Any good starting pvp classes? Is gear hard to obtain? Im still having 2nd thoughts because i put a bit of effort into my blue chars and i dont want to restart everything.

First thing to know, there is a very vocal minority of players here that are pretty toxic. Don't be discouraged by their dribble on the forums or in global ooc in game. Make use of /ignore.

Casters are always better for someone starting out, because they allow you to level when you can't find a group. Wizards, druids are ez pvp classes. Shamans and necros good at leveling as well, though lack the burst damage to make them top dogs in pvp.

Yo man give it a try, I been having fun over here wish I would have joined sooner, everyone steered me away from it for a long time because they said it was nothing like rallos which I miss dearly. But try it, I'm from blue but am diggin red atm if you need any help send a tell or want to catch up to me and friends grouping.

Any class recomendations....I dont really want a wizard as thats my main on blue...and druids dont impress me....Im thinking maybe Necro?

Shaman man! Haha. Or a cleric. But if you want to play necro do it up. We currently need a healer of some type.

low 20's atm have a druid who can get you up to us if u need help send a tell

Clerics are stupid hard to kill at higher lvls. It's a nice safe charter to start out with but don't expect to get many kills in solo pvp.

Bards are fine, don't need much, and hell like 3 weeks ago found a magic lute on a vender in NK for like 300p (Eyon got it) (but I haven't seen him play in awhile) Thats pretty much the biggest piece of gear you need right there till end game ;p

There are no solid newb guilds. Either join a one of the many little pvp guilds or wait and join Nihilum if you like good organized PvE.
