Been on red about a week.. Never saw such sore losers and QQ'ing on a PvP server in my life, and the server wide ooc get rid of that crap, nobody needs it, go with server wide auction. It's like a bunch of angry hormonal teenagers on there who are seriously frustrated. What happened to real honorable pvp? why the oor healers, it's not just a few levels oor, it's with level 60 back up at level 20... really your pvp skills are that bad? Thought it would be cool to be back on PvP, maybe on VZ we had honor, most of these people must be from SZ heard they a bunch of griefers there anyways, I see why this place is becoming extinct, so many people there have both no self control, and no honor.

The actual pvp that happens here is always lopsided. while that can be fun for a while, it gets boring. Talking shit is far better.

Most of those 60 OOR heals are Nizerglium. Usually not legit PK twinks who will just use a fungi and epic and call it good.

The problem here is that there are only 80-100ish people playing at one time now, the ones that have stuck it out despite the population issue. There just isn't a high enough pop to have a healthy balance of the other types of players any more.

Rallos had plenty of OOR healing. Difference was, there was usually enough players on the server that you could call in backup to deal with such problems. And there were guilds formed specifically to combat players that resorted to such tactics (see: anti-pk). Sadly, we will never see an emulated EQ1 PVP server that has the same feel as original live, because the balance that these servers require will never exist again because of the minority population that these pvp servers draw in.

Hi Mojojojojo, i remember you from back in the day. I'm also very new to this server but haven't experience high level douchbaggery yet, only read about it here.

The VZ honorable pvp rule-set was a very special player made system. To this day, i'm still amazed at what the top guilds on that server were able to pull off in terms of establishing and enforcing a server wide rule set. I don't think you will ever find a game/server that will replicate it on that level. Unless the game is designed to prohibit weak pvp tactics like OOR healing, CCing, training, etc, it will be in existence. The only way to effectively enforce a player made rule-set is to blacklist attention starved greifers and make it impossible for them to join a competent guild or do anything with constant pvp. Unfortunately, with a population of ~100/night, that is impossible to pull off. This is a new server and can only partially replicate the old days.

A server wide auction would be the same as ooc is now. You can't police it. The global ooc is supposed to be for trading/grouping currently.
