More names will come to me but three to start(separate people) :

1. Wood Elf male Druid - Magdan or Magden ?
2. High Elf female Enchanter - Eildaria? With possible alt Eilygirl. Real name was Brooke and also had a character named Brooke on EQOA.
3. Wood Elf male Warrior - Reckless/Rezidue

Were all part of a small guild that had it's official 'guild house' in some empty building up in Kelethin. I do not remember the name of the guild.

Galelor - shaman
Daffie - Paladin
Gegen - my brother's druid

Kunark/Luclin - The Silent Majority
Luclin to GoDish - Circle of Valor
GoDish on - Dark Templars (Euro Guild)

That's the old school CoV page, which is cool to still be up. Brings back some memories but is also missing a lot of names that were very active later on. I cleared luclin and lead raids in PoP and I'm not on there :p

PS - The name Reckless rings a bell for some reason, but I can't put my finger on it :(
PPS - I know a couple of guys use to play on SoD. Machia the bard is one of them. Gegen and I play over there from time to time.

I thought JC wsa a start up and bust, how long did it last? It formed up after CoV/DI alliance and guilds fell apart. I did a few raids in JC, but left to raid during the day with DT.

Name isn't familiar to me either. I had played as Cennyin Deathblighter (Inner Circle) myself though during that time. Had left JUST before PoP was released. (Came back when Stromm was released though as Besmear Souldevourer in Realm of Insanity)

Decided to start up on this server after finally getting a copy of EQ Titanium off of Ebay. Just not sure which class I want to bother with. Was originally a cleric on xegony, and then a necro on stromm.

HOW TO MAKE A GUILD ON XEGONY
By Yendor Lootmonkey, Xegony

Step 1: Come up with a leet name for your guild.

The most important part of making a new guild is having a clever name. Preferably one with some sort of sexual innuendo in it, because most Everquest players are horny 16-55 year old men that would find it amusing. Also, try to make your guild name as long as possible, because it will help people remember your guild name. Or try to get away with the most outlandish guildname you can think of that Sony will still accept. If you can't think of anything, find a foreign language dictionary and translate an offensive phrase into that language and submit that as your guild name.

Here are some examples of good ideas for names of a guild:

- The Elite Brotherhood of the Everlasting Legion of Noble Champions of Fatal Darkness Deluxe
- Yendor's Harem of Women
- Nomew Dekan
- Flame Lickers of Norrath
- Nous Aimons Le Sexe D'âne

Step 2: Come up with a snazzy gimmick for your guild.

You need something that separates you from all the other guilds out there. You've got to have a slick gimmick for your guild. Think long and hard on this one. You don't want to be just another raiding guild out there. But what if you were a guild made up entirely of female characters? Or what if you used the armor tinting to dress your entire guild in hot pink?? Or what if your guild were all required to say something clever in /shout every time they zoned in? Or if you made a guild based entirely on killstealing and training and making everyone miserable? Those are the sort of things that attract people to your guild and make it special.

Step 3: Set up a web site for your guild.

The next thing you need to do is create a web site for your guild so you can communicate to your guild members and show other people what you are all about. Be sure to have as many pop-up ads as possible... not only do people love those, but it also helps your web host maintain the site. Your members won't mind closing 70 pop-up windows advertising porn to get to your members forum to see what's going on tonight. Which brings up another point... every guild web site should have the following things on it:

1) Message Board/Forum - You'll want to set this up with at least 32 different categories to keep all the posts spread out and in their own little section. Make a forum for each class in your guild, for each race, and for each tradeskill. Also have a private section where only members can go. Also make a private section where only officers can go so they can talk smack about all of the members. Also, make a forum for the guildleader only so he can sit there by himself and talk smack about all of his officers. Then have some general forums that anyone can post on and you probably need a recruiting forum where all the cretins on your server can come out of hiding and spam with membership requests the first time you kill anything uber and get the slightest bit of uber loot.

2) Charter/Rules - Every guild has a charter and some draconian set of rules for everyone to follow. Make sure all 196 pages of yours are all over your guild web site so people who are interested in your guild are aware of all the wonderful rules and regulations they will have to abide by every time they log in. Because once they join the guild, you should be in control of every aspect of what they do in game and if they don't like it, they can always go to a federal prison where they can enjoy more freedom.

3) News Page - Make sure you post 50 screenshots of everything your guild does each night, even if it's the most mundane thing like XPing in Plane of Valor. Post pictures of all the trash loot you get there too. People want to know what you are doing!!! Also screenshot the most embarrassing quotes and mistells from your members, including private cyber sessions with your EQ girlfriend, and post them all over the news page for the entire gaming community to see.

4) Membership Roster - List all of the people in your guild, their class, their race, their level, all of their alternate characters, their play times, what spells and AAs they have, all of their equipment, their raid points, bra sizes, their credit card numbers and real names, and real-life photos of them. This is to help Internet stalkers.

Step 4: Get officers for your guild.

The quickest and most efficient way to get officers for your guild is to spam lowbie areas with /shouts and tell everyone that the first 20 people in your guild will get to be officers. Don't waste time by evaluating their ability to lead or make decisions, that will just slow you down as you try to organize your guild. More is always better, so try to get as many officers as possible. If any officer appears to be more stubborn, bull-headed, and loudmouthed than you, demote them to regular member status immediately. Remember, you don't want any opposition to your tyrannical leadership. If officers start disagreeing with anything you say, demote them to regular member status. Keep in mind that your officers are there to stroke your ego and keep telling you that all of your decisions are fair and correct. You have no need for other perspectives or devil's advocates.

Step 5: Make some rules for your guild.

This should be your most favorite part of making a guild. Try to get as little input from others as possible... usually people don't know what they want and they all have their ulterior motives anyway so don't trust them. This is your guild, make people do whatever you want however you want them to. First you'll need some rules about recruiting people. After all, you don't want any retards in your guild. Make sure you have a rule about booting both the applicant and his sponsor if the applicant doesn't work out for your guild. You definately don't want that sponsor trying to invite any more idiots into your guild, right? Then you'll probably need some rules about loot. People argue a lot about loot in this game, so make sure your rules are really vague and complicated so you can redirect any situation to your own advantage, especially if something you really want drops off a uber mob. The harder you make the loot rules to understand, the less likely people are to argue about them.

There will be some oversensitive people in your guild, so make some rules restricting what other people can and can't say in guildchat. Also, there will be some dumb people in your guild, so for their sake, make some rules about the maximum number of syllables in words people are allowed to use in guildchat as well. Then there's expectations and requirements for your members.... basically you want to make sure they are online whenever you want them to be and doing whatever you want them to be. People always follow a charismatic leader without question. If you studied history, then you already know this from World War 2. So try to max your CHA as early as possible to help out in leading your guild.

Lastly, you need some rules about how the rules can't be changed, no matter how many people whine and complain. Human tendency is to whine and complain when people are unhappy, so don't let that get to you. Just ignore it and remember that your way is always the best way and anyone who thinks otherwise probably needs to be booted.

Step 6: Recruit for your guild.

Now you've got your sycophant officers and your 196 pages of rules and your snazzy web site. It's time to start recruiting! And there's no better way to recruit than to make a name for your guild on your server. Positive, negative... it doesn't matter. Just get some exposure. Make sure everyone in the zone knows your guild is looking for members, and which of the 20 officers they can contact. Spam this several times to make sure everyone hears you.

Also, browse the rosters of some other good guilds on your server and try to steal some of their members. This is friendly competition between guilds and makes the game more exciting. Lure them to your guild with as many lies and rumors about their current guild and leadership as possible. Forge logs if necessary. This is all part of the game. People are always looking for that greener pasture... they just need a little provocation sometimes. Now I'm not saying harrass them in any way, but if you need to killsteal or train them until they comply with your demands, then sometimes that's what you have to do.

Be sure to invite everyone and all their twinks and trademules too. And see if they have any friends that they can pressure into joining your guild. And by 'friends', I mean maybe some guy they buffed in Crushbone back in the day once and never had anything to do with him since. In terms of sponsoring members for your guild, that does indeed count as a friend that you can vouch for.

Step 7: Establish a reputation for your guild.

This is the easy part... what sort of guild do you want to be and what sort of name do you want to make for yourself on your server? Well, the goody-two-shoes guilds always get steamrolled and camp-jumped by other guilds because they won't fight back. You want to be a powerful and feared guild so no one else steps all over you. Fortunately, this involves as much killstealing, ninjalooting, and training as possible. As other people and guilds on your server see that you are willing to do this to get to the top, they will both fear and respect you. Just ignore their spiteful and insulting /shouts, /oocs and board posts... when their guilds fold, they will be swarming to join you. That is just their jealousy and envy talking.

Try to get into as many fights and verbal sparring matches on your server board as possible. Keep logs and copy everything everyone ever said. Be sure to use it against them later. People respect a guild that can hold its own in a war of insults. If you don't have a witty retort or a point to make or the bottom just fell out of your only argument during a debate, quickly redirect blame or attention on another guild, or resort to insults about their moms or wives. As the ultimate smokescreen, start a huge debate about religion or abortion.

Step 8: Show people who the boss is.

You are. You are the boss. You are leader of the guild, you can do whatever you want. When other people try to do whatever they want, boot them. Make sure that sense of free will doesn't spread like a disease throughout the rest of your guild. Cut out that cancer right away. Don't feel compelled to explain to anyone why they were booted, that will only just allow them to debate your actions or, even worse, prove that it was actually someone else that performed the action/behavior you are accusing them of. For efficiency, it is okay to boot people on third-hand information.... you probably shouldn't waste time trying to get the story from anyone actually involved. Usually there are 2-3 sides to every story and it will make your head hurt trying to sort everything out. Generally, the person who came to you first is correct... that's why they came to you first... the other guys needed time to make crap up.

Anytime anyone disagrees with any of your rules, they are obviously unhappy with the privilege of being in your guild and should be booted. You may have to boot their friends and anyone you may suspect to be their friends as well, because their friends will obviously try to come to their defense and then things may get ugly.

When in doubt, boot. It's easier to reguild someone you've booted when they come crawling back with profuse apology than it is to deal with any particular situation or problem that may surface during your time as guildleader.

Step 9: Do uber stuff and then brag about it on your web site.

Trust me... EVERYONE wants to know what your guild is doing. So if anything you're doing is boring, make sure you embellish/exaggerate a little on your news page. Make other guilds feel like crap in your stories because they aren't doing the cool things you are. This helps your recruiting because their members will join your guild in hopes of doing anything remotely near what you're exaggerating about on your news page. If you don't have any good screenshots to use, visit either the Fires of Heaven or Afterlife website and use some of theirs.

Post links to your news page on all of the major EQ message boards too, so people from other servers know how uber your guild is. This would also be a good time to spam Ever-Wars links, because everyone will want to help your character get more gold.

Step 10: Interact with other guilds.

This is a massively multiplayer online game, so you and your guild will be interacting with tons of other people. Do your best to make sure these interactions are memorable. Positive, negative... it doesn't matter. Some of the easiest ways to make lasting impressions on other guilds include training them when they're about to engage an uber mob. This also benefits you because after they all die, the uber mob is yours to raid. Additionally, ninja-looting their loot and killstealing mobs from them also help spark some friendly competition/rivalry between you and other guilds. This also helps fuel server message board interaction and reputation-building from Step 7.

The last thing you want to do is to appear to have compassion for others. Then other guilds will try to take advantage of this weakness. Your goal is to make sure the other guilds respect your guild enough so they never get in your way. And people in Everquest only respect two things: huge raid groups bearing down upon them to steal whatever they want, and huge trains.

Also, another easy way to interact with other guilds is to dispell the mobs they are fighting. It makes the game more challenging for them and they will appreciate you for it.

Good luck!

The old days on Xegony were exactly that. The population as a whole got much more kind to each other once instancing was implemented.
