Well...I've tried resist the urge but there is no stopping it now.

I'm going to take the challenge of the Erudite Paladin. If you ask me why...then I honestly have to say I can't tell you why. I've just got to do it.

That being said. I need some advice (friendly or unfriendly both welcome). I've looked through the forums a bit and seen a couple of Erudite pally threads and race selection threads but couldn't divine what I wanted to know from them.

With roughly 60 points naturally wasted in intelligence and charisma, I am unsure how I should spend the 20 they give me. Is 5 into agility and 15 into stamina still considered the best possible use of those points?

I should say that I'd like to play this guy to 60 and I am fully aware that I will be a gimpy hybrid who will probably not be geared out well enough to ever MT anything worthwhile. I'm okay with that. Any other advice on leveling him or items I should save or quest for would be handy.

Thanks

5 AGI and 15 STA is a pretty good choice

maybe a bit in STR depending on what gear you might end up wearing. erudite paladins probably get encumbered pretty easily.

also, i'm sure you're aware of this shield, but i'm gonna link it here just because it's bad ass :) http://wiki.project1999.org/index.php/Shield_of_the_Stalwart_Seas

Yes I've seen those shields. I can't imagine they are very easy to get a hold of though. What do those generally cost?

At any rate I went ahead and just dropped 5 agi and 15 stam. I'll just be a weakling :p

the wiki says they usually got for 1000plat, which really isn't that much once you get towards the higher levels

Yeah I definitely got one of those shields for 1k. Someone tried to PM me on here and ask for 2k. Amazing what folks get away with.

Those points in charisma aren't really wasted, imo. Lulls!

I've got an erudite pally (Erupal!) too, but he's my lowest-level alt at 9, haha.

True. I does help with vendor pricing slightly lol.

+5 AGI +15 STA all the way.

I believe Charisma helps with Lull/Soothe chances of success. Not sure, though.

Erudite Paladins are awesome and that's all that matters.

No kidding? That's good then hahaha.

Very true though. They are awesome. I gotta get one to max. I'm hoping he'll be a pitied character who gets group and raid spots simply because people feel bad for him ;)

I got my shield for 300pp, and my Eru Pal is 17 now :)

My erudite paladin just hit 45. It's been a long slog but I wouldn't trade him for anything. If you see Vizeryn in game say hi!

Used to play brothers, with a friend, back in the day a Eru Pally and an Eru SK, roleplayed all over the place, loved it.

Haha that's great stuff. I haven't had much time over the weekend to enjoy him but he's slowly trodding along.

I believe charismas effect on lull line is that it reduces the crit fail chance. (Resist + aggro)
