Here is the details for the spell:

1 : Stun for 8.0* seconds (*some player-cast stuns are capped at 4 seconds)
2 : Decrease Hitpoints by 222

Here you can see I was stunned for 15 seconds. It seems the epic is modifying the stun as well as the damage component. Just curious if this is working as intended.

14 second stun. I would also like to see the modifier that makes a 222 dmg stun land for 267 in pvp. Seems like after pvp mitigation that should be lower, no?

bard epic amplifies the damage

222 * 1.8 * 0.67 = 267.732

damage sounds right but that's assuming that none of the damage was mitigated and that's retarded considering this is a magic based spell with no resist modifier

Should be capped at 4 second but at lvl 53 it landed on me with 184 Mr(had enc GMR)
sat there for 14 seconds.

On sullon this wouldn't even have landed on someone 15 lvls lower with that much mr

On live anything with dmg and stun effect rolled against 2 resistance checks to land, which is happening on my wizard stun
nukes because they land like shit.

One check for dmg

second for stun

Both needed to succeed for the spell to land, which is why straight stuns always landed much better then stun/dmg spells.

Will follow up with logs, But this is something that needs to be looked into immediately. I am not sure how it was passed over or never used prior with the whole tstaff/skean nerf. Maybe bards just didn't use it often in pvp because the recast until they realized how bugged it was. The epic modifier giving a boost to singing makes this song even more bad ass since there is no item other then the epic in game which gives a singing % boost.

Even with a 300 second recast time, The stun should not last that long and damage shouldn't be this high. It's the new free tstaff proc on command every 3 minutes.

pretty acurrate

has normal stun resist rate above 100 mr , have tested it

damage isnt too high, stun rarely will break at 4 - 8 seconds but its rare, if it hits normally lasts 12-15. prob should be the other way around.

While I am sure a quick kludge can be in place for the next patch, any research on the proper duration of stuns in pvp (and how they interact with with bard epic) would be appreciated.

No mmo in history had a class with a 14 sec hard to resist stun! That's a guaranteed death for a 3 sec ability that can be used by a lightning speed class while running.

It's because there were no great pvp bards on the server who were actively out there with killsquads. You had Lite and crew but it was always 5 wizards against Lite + whomever else and plugging happened quickly into KC/DL. Very little pvp really happened elsewhere. I can't think of another lvl 60 bard on the pvp side that would have been 'discovering' this and using it against the vocal majority of the server.
