Most commonly worn cobalt are: helm, arms, boots, gaunts.

What should those be replaced with?

Helm: SSB/Tranix crown
Arms: Indicolite/Mithril Arms?
Boots: Indicolite/Iksar Hide boots/Dwarven Work Boots?
Gaunts: Gaunts of Fiery Might, Indicolite

just tossing out some ideas since i'll probably need to regear my war towards HP/STA/DEX.

Agi may actually be worth doing now also depending on whether it actual makes you dodge/evade more (queue debate)

Agility only affects Avoidance AC (Not Mitigation).

Agility has nothing to do with Dodge/Block/Parry etc Skills.

Have you parsed this on p99? Seeing as AC doesn't seem to be working as intended on p99 it doesn't seem unreasonable that agi might be implemented in a non-classic fashion too :p

Wait, there are people who wore cobalt gaunts over indicolite gaunts lol? Arms I wear blazing arms, bolts I wear blazing boots of fennin ro, helm I wear crown of rile but for a more realistic suggestion I'd tell you wear a SSB.

someone did a fresh longer parse in Splorf's AC thread here in the Tanks forum.... fresh parse seems to indicate that AC does in fact matter.

Here is the numbers for my parses on low dark blue mobs, I am a level 51 Troll Sk

Mobs - Nro freeport guards (Guard Brendyl, Guard Stoutman, Guard Fintran), all level 40, max hit - 100, min hit - 17

The 963ac and 837ac parses were around 1 hour total tanking time each. The 916ac and 681ac were about 30 minutes each.


244 raw ac (963ac), with shield, 100agi
avg hit 41,16, hit% 47.20

164 raw ac (837ac), with shield, 100agi
avg hit 45.07, hit% 48.26



216 raw ac (916ac) no shield, 100agi
avg hit 42.13, hit% 48.89

63 raw ac (681ac), no shield, 100agi
avg hit 57.13, hit% 45.91

Based on this I am leaning towards the hardcap on this server not being exactly what it is in Kavhok's post.

Results maybe cofounded by other stat changes. Would help to be sure all phsyical stats are the same.

post i quoted claims it was 100AGI on all parses. dunno what other stats would have affected it.

Great to see that parse. AC not working would be really worrisome. Still would be nice to see some statistical analysis on the parse.

I don't think that the problem is ac not working as in black and white, but rather the question is close to sayin "ac isn't as great as it should be" therefore the question is how do we optimize our stats as wars to be most effective? Cobalt while it has awesome ac and clickies may not provide as much benefit as perhaps indicolite or cultural...

Not sure if anyone would put in that kind of time...

Anyone have a Parse comparing Plate>Chain>Leather>Silk ? Mitigation,Avoidance,Shield,Parry,Dodge,Block, per type?
