My characters are gone

Hi all, I played p99 last year but I have been away for several months or so. I just logged in and none of my characters are showing up. Have I done something wrong or do I need to contact someone to get them back?

are you looking at the right server? if you logged into another eqemu server by default you wouldn't have the right chars.

Yup just the one that says p99 Kunark. Although I am using the special launcher now, I don't think I had that last time. But it seems right, I can even make a new character and log in, but my old characters aren't listed.

Does it say anything about your spell file being out of date? Maybe you just need to install the latest patch?

Nope got no error messages. Whole process is really easy now thanks to that new patcher. I just installed titanium from the cd's, then ran the new patcher and it did everything for me. Then I click the server and logged straight in, can even play without any errors. Just none of my characters :(

There is an issue with the kunark servers

I have friends that played today that are logged out on the Kunark continent that have "no characters available"

I am logged out in OT and not able to log in

When I login I see a blank server list.
But if I use quick launch I'm able to connect.
Once I connected it listed no characters.

I created a new character as a test and it kicked me back to the login page.
When I clicked login it listed Maximillian's Vermillion squadron was the quick connect server.

I would re-confirm you are logging into the correct server. Last night there was a crash and when I did either quick connect or clicked my reconnect button the server it logged me into was "Maximillian's Vermillion".

I have had the same issue as you and it depends on what launcher you use. There is an updated launcher that will auto update all patches, use that one. I'm sure you know what server you played on.

I don't use any launcher. I've been playing since before the launcher came out.

I run 'eqgame.exe patchme' on a titanium install with the latest patch files installed.

Just as an odd shot are you sure you didn't log into the Red server ? It does say P99 Kunark also.

Hope you get it worked out. Nothing like having that itch to play and now getting access to your characters.
