Hello, I have a level 3 Barbarian Shaman that I pretty much just started. My question is, what would be some good ways to farm about 50 plat at around my level or up until level 9 in Everfrost, because I wanted to bring my shammy to Faydwer at around 9 or so and level there for quite some time and need to buy spells for the journey that keep me set for awhile.

Hmm not too sure about Everfrost as I never personally really ever spent any time in that zone, even on live lol. I know people will pay 5pp per stack of bone chips in EC tunnel and HQ pelts fetch a decent amount I believe, along with silks from the spiders but not sure if any of these items are in Everfrost. If you had a character that could forage, in Greater Faydark you can forage cinnamon sticks (Make sure you dont eat them, theyre considered food!) and pods of water (i think thats what theyre called?) both of which ive sold to other players for 20-25p a pop. Hope any of this info gets ya rolling, and good luck out there bud!

just ask everyone you see for 50 plat and plead with them desperately

In Everfrost your only real option is killing bears and getting high quality bear skins. There's cracked staff, spider silks, and bone chips but they are all far too scarce to count on.

If you like particularly dangerous ways to get money in Everfrost, well, let's say at level 9, you get SOW, since you're a shaman, you can ask the people camping the Ice Giants if they need a "banker" which means they trade you gp, sp, and cp for plat. They usually will also let you loot, or sell you fine steel weapons to sell at a profit.

So, if you hit level 9 and don't have the money, that might be an option. It's dangerous to get to the IGs, but not impossible by any means. Plus you might get a fine steel spear to actually wield.

You could even do it at lower levels, but without SOW the danger goes up a lot.

Kill bears and save every polar bear skin you find. I'll buy them from you.

The high quality bear skins also sell pretty well to tailors.

I believe a level 9 shaman should be able to kill willowisps in Qeynos Hills and Greater Light Stones drop frequently enough. If that Initiate Symbol of the Tribunal is in game, you can use that to summon a magic weapon too.

HQ bear skins as other people have said - 20pp each. I don't remember if there are a lot of decaying skeletons in Everfrost, but if they are, get bone chips - 5-10pp a stack. Also, there are a lot of spiderlings. You can sell spiderling silk for around 10-20pp a stack (don't remember the exact pricing, but it's in reasonably high demand for cultural plate armor).

This is the way to do it.

Killing willowisps in qeynos hills is also a good idea too (if you can!) ... save their greater lightstones to hand in to the gypsies as you pass through NK.

Spider Silk, LQ-HQ Bear Skins, Polar Bear Skins(Sell or Turn in Quest for Rawhide)

Spider Silk won't sell much, unless you know somebody who wants it probably better off vendoring it. Save Spiderling Silk tho, can often sell for 1pp per (20pp/stack) to blacksmiths. Polar Bear Skins take space, but can sell to players who farm Leatherfoot Raider cap quest. HQ Bear Skins sell reasonably consistently in EC for 20pp per.

Do blackburrow gnoll fangs. Turn in in s. qey and then sell the stones to <some guy in the nearby bar whose name I forget> for some monies.

When you are 15+ or so, grab a partner and do the west karanas bandits. Turn in sashes to s. qey paladin guild, sell the bronze weaps you get for the turnin.

The Einhorst quest http://wiki.project1999.org/Karana_Clovers gets you level 19 shaman spells which sell for 5p per run. You also have a chance to get a polar bear cloak. Combine it with this one http://wiki.project1999.org/Lion_Meat_Shipment_Quest which gives you only some extra change, but it's the same run.

Bank for higher levels killing ice giants. You keep silver or a % or w/e to go to bank and convert to plat!

The ideas shared are good, definitely save all your silk, polar bear & HQ bear skins. The problem with Everfrost is there are usually never any buyers. If you want a sure thing that doesn't involve any players, see below.

If you go through Blackburrow to Qeynos hills, in the gully between the top of the mountain and the zone wall starting from the lake where Hadden (the fishbone earring guy is) and the Qeynos zone there will be two rabid wolves wandering. They are like level 4. Kill the wolves and they always drop a pelt.

You take this pelt to the Clerics guild in Qeynos (the UFO!) and the lady will give you 2pp 1g for each pelt! When you get to about level 12, you can kill the rabid grizzly that paths near the blackburrow entrance. He also drops a pelt which you take to the same lady and she'll give you the 2.1pp and a cure disease spell that vendors for 1.8pp! As a bonus, he also drops high quality bear skins and grizzly bear pelts at a very high rate.

Respawn times for the rabids are like 6 minutes? So you could have your 50pp in two hours even around level 4-5. Beware of Cross Treewind and Holly Windstalker, they attack anyone killing animals. I am not sure if they attack you if you're killing the rabid ones, I always kept an eye out for them.

The other quest worth doing for plat there is to keep an eye out for Gnoll Hunters. One sometimes wanders near the blackburrow entrance and the other kind of near Surefall Glades entrance. They always drop a piece of a staff, either the top or bottom. Unfortunately they are lore and I've had bad luck streaks where they'd drop the same half like 10x in a row. When you do get both top and bottom, you can turn them into a guy in Surefall Glades for a Dru/Rng only staff (which is trash, it vendors for very little. You can try and give it away to new rangers/druids) starting in Qeynos. BUT in addition to the staff, he also gives you up to almost 10pp!

If you can run to the North Karana Wizard spire I will teleport in and /duel you. If you accept I will hand you 50pp then insta-kill you with an Ice Comet. Then you can run back and loot the 50pp off your corpse.

There's a lot of awesome suggestions here! This is going to be my first time leveling through Everfrost and I had no idea there were so many little ways to make plat there, I don't think I'll have much trouble with plat if I play it smart and look out for those items/quests.

Thanks for the ideas friends!

I second the "banker" idea for people farming IG's. As a youngster barbarian, I was able to make some good money. It's been years since I did it, but you can make it there and back relatively safely. Just ooc a camp check and ask whomever is there.

if you can beg a magic weapon willowwisps open up at 9-12 and go to NK turn them in for 9p a pop, better to solo that than group at low levels IMO on a sham. you will be lucky to make 10p a level grouping in cb-unrest-mm 5-20

they also spawn a lot in NK and that is good hunting ground coupled with EK-SK till your 30's

I buy HQ bear skins at 25p a pop.... Find two and send me a tell ingame

I don't think we should be encouraging begging, runlvlzero.

I'm currently struggling to access the wiki, but OP look up the initiate symbol of the tribunal quest.

The resulting item has a click effect that summons a magic hammer (perfect for wisp bashing).

Very easy quest, basically talk to 3 NPCs in halas then run to qeynos bank and back.

Is this the turn in for 9pp you are referring to?

That's the one. It's also great exp for the hand in of both GLS and LS. 2-4%ish depending on the level. I was still doing the quest on my monk after the wisps went green for plat and exp from turn ins.

Where in NK is the best place to farm them up?
