Fuck it, obviously we're in a bit of a slump here. Why should we continue to flounder? Shit aint classic, and it might be time to start thinking about embracing it. We def saw a small rise in pop with the exp but it was short lived. I think a lot of the new players that show up on red come from blue.

In their land, our world is only rumor. I was in ec the past few days playing the market and trying to promote red99 without seeming desperate. It's amazing to see just how varied the interpretation of what red is among blue players. Many of them have no idea, even more, are whores.

Pixel lust, it's enough to make those of us who still have dignity, sick. And blues have it bad. So, why not use it against em? Is the game really goning to be over if we decide to try some alternatives? Is re-releasing manastones going to kill the server? I don't think so, but I'm not a prophet. I do know however that if blue was to open that option up again, you wouldn't see me logged on here.


TL;DR: If we turn manastone drops back on, will we see a influx of new players?

You might see something.. PVP at the evil eye camp was awesome, I have like 15 SS's alone of thrilla either murking my group or getting murked. good stuff!

Trying to combat pixel lust with pixel lust is definitely only going to do more damage to the server and soon enough no one will care as there will be enough manastones for all 100 players on the server.

If people want to be babies they won't be able to hang with red. If they want to be elite uber awesome guys without getting a numb butt from pharming items, they are going to wash out.

People are used to games like DOTA where they feel so awesome when they stomp on a guy who entered the game 2 minutes late, and then its over 30 mins later. We get new players here every once in a while. We need to work on our real problems like resist issues with certain spells, and play to enjoy the game.

Lack of low level players is a big problem and it makes people feel lonely and only the most dedicated raiders will start from 1 and shoot to 60 to join nihilum. I think item loot would help this problem since it gives a lot of incentive to be a low level. I promise to spend 2 hrs a day minimum helping noobs hunt down twinks if item loot is implemented.

EXP Bonus, re implementation of legacy items, these things will not bring people to red. If anything it will in the end make red seem like a cheap server with a bunch of whining retards playing game on EZ mode and still complaining.

Probably the best thing would be to remove OOC so new players don't walk away from the seemingly horrible server as represented by 5 or 6 people talking about how gay they are and what they do with their house pets.

Good points, I'm on board for the ooc thing. I think it would be a good thing if some of the more credible players around red came together and developed a bit of a narrative about playing on red and what to expect from a few different perspective. I've said it myself on the "new player here" threads, but I'm just not convinced that telling people they're gonna get their shit pushed in is effective. There are a lot of forum lurkers out there that only see red life as this. I know a lot of bros are down with the sodomy, but it's not for every one.

There is a rich gaming experience here, we just have to tell people about it without mentioning rape.
