You all get a gold star!

Seriously though, thank you. There are really only a couple people who visit that forum regularly, and every time someone drops in thinking, 'hey, i bet i can answer a question or two!' it really helps out.

I know I speak for myself, lyra, falkun, and the rest of the wonderful people who help make YOUR eq client work properly when you've messed something up when i say THANK YOU and please come back as often as you'd like :D

Just to give some perspective here as to how important it is for people to help out in Tech Discussion, here's some averages and what they mean for the server.

I'd estimate we get ~4 new threads per day in tech discussion related to issues that would prevent people from logging in and playing on p99. That's an average, and includes issues that would otherwise stop people from playing (unable to do X or Y in game, not necessarily a non-functioning client or w/e). Sometimes there can be many more threads than that, rarely less. Generally speaking, that's going to be 4 different people who are not going to be playing on p99.

If we are able to answer and fix all 4 people's problems, that's 4 people who will be logging in to contribute to the population. That's 28 people a week. Roughly 112 a month, adding to/keeping people in the population.

Now, obviously it doesn't work *exactly* like this in practice, just in theory, since not all of the people we help are going to stick around, etc etc. But it might make you stop by and answer a few questions yourself!

that ends this seasons tech discussion psa! Hope it was as mundane for you as it was for me :)

I retired myself from tech support...I find myself providing guesswork answers, and while that gives troubleshooters some options I often think I'm not really helping :p

Ya, I tried out a few times and I still check the threads just in case I have a definititive answer but I have yet to have one.

Nice job to those of you who keep at it.

Hey guys, even just helping out with guesswork is helping out.

I will admit that most questions we get on the tech board are either already answered in my FAQ or are something else really simple that the regulars already know the answer to, but every little bit does help for sure.

I got a lot of guys who hang out in my stream and answer tech support questions on the regular, Its helpful because I'm not the most computer savvy person when it comes to fixing errors.

You help make the server a better place and you also help grow the server by helping new players.

Thanks.

Hey, i tried getting onto your twitch the other day to bitch at you about hte pikachu situation, but i wasn't able to access the chat.

If you ever see anyone having issues that are unresolved, go ahead and point them to the tech discussion FAQ. as of right now it answers pretty much every common question we get over there, and is a great resource for helping out people having problems with their client or whatever.

and thanks tigs, i appreciate that :)
