since it looks like nilbog and co. are looking into this:

tstaff/skean/windstriker FIXED

AE spell range check FIXED

highsun(should be unresistable in pve but very very easily resistable in pvp, falls in resists category i suppose, it's broken because of the dispel component being made unresistable by null)

mage pets(earth and especially epic pets chain casting their spells that land all the time, root from my experience lands around 1 in 5 times with 135-200 MR, epic pet stun lands 4 in 5 times with same MR, falls in with resists category but i know specific changes were made to these pets in the past)

resists in general(null made it impossible to complete resist a direct damage nuke, which is insanely not classic, root/snare/stun need their 5% chance to land regardless of resist removed)

mez spells other than rapture not working on players level 55+

rogue poisons, mainly blind(falls in general resists?)

necro bond line of spells leaves no debuff until you zone, at which point the debuff is visible

should not be able to dispel people out of pvp level range, large potential for retarded griefing

archery is seriously fucked up, does almost no damage and hardly ever hits, rangers are bad enough as it is and with windstriker nerf, throw them a bone dawg

some cast times are messed up, need clarification, but i believe this includes wizard pillar spells, druid frost spell casting way faster than they're supposed to

either something is broken with AC or warriors are doing way too much damage with crippling blows; i don't recall ever seeing a warrior doing 800+ damage in one swing on live, potential of 2400+ with a max damage triple attack(unlikely but certainly possible), potential of 4800+ on a sitting target(unrealistic)

MR based DoTs that have a huge negative resist modifier like winged death and splurt are sometimes resisted here, when on live i don't think they were ever resisted

damage shields should not receive the 33% damage nerf that other spells do

lifetaps should be healing for the full amount instead of the reduced pvp damage amount(should still do 67% damage in pvp, heal for 100%)


things that should be nerfed that make pvp boring and stupid:

golem metal wands

gate pots, most notably lizard blood potions

trakanon's tooth

soulfire

there needs to be update on the AE nukes casting time, they are far lower then they should be. The pillar of frost suppose to be like 4,5 cast, its like 2.1 or something.

other then that i can't think of anything, just be careful modifying the resists as a whole, shit gets fucked REALLY easily, and youll see a box with 0 casters pretty quick.

i personally think the best way to fix resists is to manually code each spell line and let the current resist curve stay as is, but yes, remove the static 5% for sure

Selo's broke root/snare during this era on live, but I feel that would be way overpowered. Bards already amazing pvp class as it is.

And if mr is changed, no one will be getting rooted or snared anyway.

Bard mez seems to be way too difficult to resist as well. Easy for a bard to grief someone by casting mez and AFKing, especially pre-50.

Was stunned to log onto blue and pvp in Freeport and see the guards smack down pvpers.

DoT spells should not be impacted by the pvp damage reduction. Dispel type spells should only work on players within pvp level range.

Instant clicks not removing spell CD on use

Winged Death get's resisted far too easily

Lightning Bolt(lvl16 wiz spell) has a 1 sec stun attached and landed pretty descent on live here no stun.

just small correction, you can dispell the bonds line but it is invisible but you could dispel it as if you saw the icon still very very broken and has been like this since day 1

really? hmm, could have sworn the one time i encountered a necro that fought back on this box he casted vexing mordinia, i went to try and dispel it, and when i zoned the debuff was there and i was still taking DoT damage

might have mistakenly not channeled the pumice or something then

going to reiterate how awful rogue blind poisons are

got blinded twice out of two attempts tonight, first one lasted 78 seconds and the second one lasted 77 seconds

77 seconds of being blind with gream, nizzar, taiden, samuell, tune, and zibby on me, still didn't die

thank god nihilum's "A squad" is horrible at this game

actually there's more,

sitting damage calculation not classic, your max high when sitting does not equal your max high when someone is standing, there's something wrong in the code here where it completely passes any mitigation, the result is rogues backstabbing for over 1k per hit on sitting targets, never saw anyone being backstabbed for mor then around 480 in velious (just personal experience didn't play a rogue though)

yeah double damage on sitting is weird and dumb, makes melees too good if i can do over 1000 damage in one round with a 29 damage weapon

Good list.

I don't remember people being immune with 51 MR back in the day.. Root/stun/dazzle/blind/snare etc used to land far more than people give it credit for.. if it's the right balance here, dunno. It seems here that once roots land, they often last full duration, whereas on live there was a mr check every tick and everytime the rooted person was nuked. It would be pretty dumb if those spells cannot land at all.

Other issues:

- lifetaps pvp. They should heal the caster for the full value when hitting a player, but the damage done to player should be reduced as other spells are. Right now they just heal the caster for the same value as the target player is damaged for.

- malosi spellline. Only the lvl 60 unresistable malo ever used to land pvp. On here malosi lands first cast nearly everytime on 150+ mr.

The more wizards i fight the more i realize how incorrect resists are. Draught was hitting for full with over 100fr everytime.

Levels also seem to play an immense role in resists. NPC resists at higher levels are seemingly rare.

Why that game was a joke if you stacked resists you'd partial but never a full resist a blue game to the core, it seems they tried to make EQ like WoW.

Bamzal is correct dmg shield had no dmg nerf

Smedy's right sitting dmg is jacked no mitigation factored in.

And lvl's are factoring into resists WAYYY to much here, even on sullon with no lvl limit there wasn't a huge variance on resists, here 2 lvl's acts like 10 on sullon.

And naked people RESIST SHIT, never saw that on live had naked guy resist 3 roots and stun with 25 MR! so that means he hit the 5% chance 4 times in a row I say BS something is off.

I can't tell you how many of the rog poisons get resisted.

that being said, rogs already nerfed to shit, currently hide sneak not working properly

Colgate you forgot one of the most important ones:

WATER LINE - the water is fucked up. You should be able to dodge spells in it but you can't. Water should break LoS for spells, and you need it at the END of the cast (as well as begining) if you want your spell to land. If you completed the cast and someone successfully juked your spell, you would just waste your mana and it would give you a "target is protected" message. Water is fucked in general because if you're levitating over it, and not at max height or something, you will just slowly sink in anyway regardless of lev. These problems may be related..? With levitate, I remember when swimming to above the water "popping up" like as if i were on a solid ground.. on this server that doesn't happen.

I thought water was alrdy LoSing people (oo water cannot see under water). I remember several times pvping w cinda or larsen in oot in classic and being annoyed by wayer mechanic.

it works for PvE but not PvP. pretty retarded. in pvp you may have a lesser spellcasting range than normal (as Rogean's words imply) but it's still broken.

Death by dot/falling/drowning should not cause exp loss, guards should assist the player with higher faction and PKing people should cause faction loss with that race. Causing intentional xp loss, bindcamping and corpse camping should be against the rules.

feel bad for posting this cuz necros are already nerfed to shit on this box...

in 2 recent fights with necros i noticed they healed themselves with lifetaps while i still had my manaskin up. iirc the tap should still do dmg against rune but not heal from it.

I had pvp in oasis, because i'm still not level 60 yet. Some ranger actually tried pking me there and had like max swim skill. I was impressed they put all that hard work into it.
