solid classrs?

I am starting up here after playing until velious back in the day. i was thinking about a druid mage necro or monk. I haven't been able to get a good idea what the servers pvp mechanics are like... how do the above classes fare? Do casters have issues landing spells?

also which will be more painless to level solo and duo with a bard?

You can land spells fine as it is. It appears they are working on changes to make resists closer to classic so spells will be a little worse then they are now going forward. Melees are still better when geared. Monks just got tstaff duration reduced so that is one negative but they are still real good.

Necros are kind of a bust because DoTs aren't great on this server but on the plus side they are rare.

Mage class is overpowered right now because the pet roots always land for some reason, and they are spammed. This might change with resist changes, but unless the mage pet is looked at also it will probably still be spamming root too much.

Cleric, mage, bard, monk, rogue, warrior, wizard are all solid classes for pvp on here, some depending on your ability/dedication to gear up.

Earth pets root issue were toned down. Been able to get away from them as of recent.

Good viable PvP & soloers IMO:

Mage
Wizard
Druid
Shaman

Necro PvE only really.

Slow start but great exp after that. Good if you like to solo or group.

I don't like PvP as an enchanter unless you have a good group.

The worst class to be caught off guard with and ganked if you aren't prepared for PvP. Not many have PvP gear on while leveling and you probably won't have all your buffs up and placed correctly for PvP. Your PvE spells are also not going to do well for PvP.

DoTs are weaker, exp penalty if pet does more than 50% of damage, this pvp crowd is better at cure poison/disease or dispelling then the average dope on live.
