It would be a custom feature for sure, but I believe opening up legacy items - even for a fabled type period would be pro.

If this box is going to be around forever it seems silly to leave legacy items out forever cockblocking new players from the real nostalgic shit.

Could do like November/December Guises/MS/ROA etc items would be in for the year - or make them a very rare camp as it would increase pvp in those areas and still allow fresh starting players to have a chance at them.

None of the legacy items are overpowered that I have seen, and are more nostalgic/fun than anything - I get the classic timeline concept, but if this box will be going on for years etc it makes sense.

when p99 blue came out in 2009 no one really knew about the project and legacy items weren't well known. there's barely any guises at all on the entire server, so i could understand guise envy there.

I actually agree with you on chardok and was thinking of making a thread. If velious is coming this winter..(?) Maybe we could get a "teaser" release of chardok in august or something. Would be fun pvping in a zone like that where everyone would be concentrated. Draws out the life of the server. I'm even for releasing only the main velious zones and leaving things like DN, TOV, mischief, etc. out of the game for awhile

I'd vote for a server wipe, but not for making this server even more of a bastard than it already is. Original devs in classic removed these items for a reason and if they were obtainable on a regular basis it would be silly. Attend GM events and hope for the best, or roll an iksar necro and say "Iksar necros never could get guise, and it does me no good anyways, and I like being able to bind wherever I want to rather than firepots, and I don't need a manastone since im a necro"

Also there is nothing imbalanced in the warrens for classic. There is nothing in there that shouldn't be in the classic timeline. The gear attainable is on par with CB. There is no leveling path from 8-12+ on odus. Yeah you can do it but its brutal unlike nothing ever known. If you disagree, make an untwinked erudite necro and get to level 12 just killing giant snakes and large spiders near paineel. Warrens was EQ's apology Odus for many years.

Stonebrunt shouldn't go in for sure, until much later (but IMO should go in also)

Server is custom anyway. Not a museum piece. AC and mitigation code isn't even classic.

Or put in code so that on special holidays like the 4th, xmas day, holloween, easter, buddha day, Tamil Tiger day w/e the legacy drops are activated. Maybe keep it a secret what holidays it works... Don't forget Memorial and Abe Lincon day.

Honestly 4 days out of the year should be the max, thats a lil over 1% of the year. Would stop them from being all over the place but give people a chance to get them.

Maybe on a single random holiday each year enable TD binding.
