every time i pvp it's either:

i enter a zone and the 1-3 nihilum there immediately gate/port/camp out

OR

i slay one person, then 3-5 people come to fight me and i plug and sit there on an alt laughing at them waiting for me to come back for 30 minutes as i play a game of dota

i'd say it's worth it depending on what you're looking for and how much time you want to invest. and what class you want to play.

but like cwall said, we got a coalition of like 3 or 4 guilds (basically everyone on the server who wasnt nihilum) to contest, after they lost a few dragons they start mass recruiting and the server mysteriously went down at least 3 times resetting all the dragons we pushed out of their playtime. The last straw was when we were gonna kill CT, like 2 nilly online, server gets DDoS'd for 45 minutes, AS WELL AS Lite's (leader of our guild) individual IP - at his home - getting DDoS'd. After server stable again, 25 nihilum load into Fear...

broke the spirit of too many ppl, coalition fell to shambles, next week nihilum is raiding faydedar with 60 toons uncontested


but this was all long ago (3 months?) so some butthurt ppl are coming back.

I think most people that play the red server have 0 interest in the mundane mountain of dogshit that is the p1999 red forums. Trolling, endless threads of made up bullshit, my e-peen is as big as my tstaff threads. No one really cares except the same people that want attention in ooc and endlessly yap about nothing.

That being said some of us stop by the trading forum, since trading ingame is limited.

If you disagree I welcome your input, but the chances of me reading it are pretty slim, because like most of the server, one thread every few weeks is plenty to read to get your fill.

Just for kicks I collected PvP YT for the month of June and fed it into Splunk (www.splunk.com):

Notes:

- I did my best to stay logged in for the entire month of June. There were several periods of time (<12 hours) where I was unable to collect the log data. Specifically on the 11th (power out for about 6 hours) and the 25th (rig overheated and blue screened). It's pretty taxing to monitor that my client is running 24x7 so this will probably be my first and last go with this. An RSS feed or some method of getting the data would be wonderful.

- I used Splunk's dedup functions to remove YT as the result of bindcamping (consecutive YTs with the same victor and victim were counted as a single kill)

- Filtered out all <GuildA> kills <GuildA> YTs

- Filtered out all kills in <The Arena>

- Filtered out all kills by <Zade> or <Sirken>

- Total Kills and Kills by Day do not reflect filtered data (only the pie charts)

- In the real world I manage a clustered Splunk installation consuming more than 75GB of log data per day so I just thought it might be interesting to visualize some "interesting" data for once

- RAW data can be provided if anyone wants it for whatever reason

- This is in no way an analysis or commentary, just a visualization of the data
