Charmed Pets buffing owner?

Have not searched for evidence, but i hear that charmed caster pets used to buff their owners in classic era.

I have never found a way to make it consistent, but on more than one occasion my charmed pet would buff me, was especially nice when it was a shaman pet in seb that would sow me. Hasn`t happened on p99.

I remember they did buff you early in classic era. Remember getting SoW by orc shamans in Everfrost, but Im also pretty sure it was removed. Never ever seen a higher lvl mob buff you. It definetly didn't happen in Kunark, so no idea in suggesting it. It ain't happening now on P99, even it would be kewl :D
