How long is it going to take for me to solo/duo up to 60? Honestly?

You can easily get to 50 with 1 day played on a bard with AoE kiting. Level up normally to 10 or so then start kiting with strafe/chords of dissonance(35yd range) til 18, at 18 use denons also(40 yd huge difference). south karana(imo) to 29-30. Then get bound in overthere and take OT to 49-50. From there you can do burning woods 50+ etc. You really just need drums/lute. Pickup a MM drum/lute and your set.

The only bard I remember from Fippy was that asshat tsunzhu who was universally hated (along with his guild) as the biggest tool and douche to ever log into fippy.

Don't fucking remind me. If any of you shit sticks think there is rampant hacking or GM favoritism here, you have obviously never played the first year of Fippy. There was literally not a SINGLE gm dedicated to Fippy until veilious launched. Not one ever. There was sooooooooooo much proof of hacking, like videos, pictures, hell some people all out admitted to it with no fear at of retribution. It was absolutely terrible. As for tsun the only time i ever met him in game I was pulling for my guild in hate 2.0 when I bumped into him. He stopped, looked at me, and said "watch it" before moving on. I also remember him posting a pic of himself in the forums and getting all kinds of hell for it because he was wearing some gay ass flat billed hat.
Tsunzhu and I never really had problems outside of Kunark launch, when we were mez kiting foragers towards each others guild for seb keys. Truly cutthroat.
There was some serious hacking going on first year Fippy. Especially during Kunark. Classic... had it, but it didnt make a difference in the competiton. TL had the mobilization, coordination and drive... Citizen had a cranky Dima, and Armageddon had Darkkest. Easy win.

It was so terrible. Again, I blame the complete lack of a GM, I joined a deep Chardok group with a guy from cit, and some monk from an enemy guild trained us three times. Each of the three times I got a pic of it happening, and the third time he even whispered me saying "hahaha like I care, nothing is going to happen." He was right.

The shit was rampant. The guild citizen would park 10 SK's at the trak spawn and Insta kill him via broken HT for months. I heard that a few months after I left Fippy they had finally dedicated a GM to the server, but it was too late.

In a thread about fippy, you get angry that people talk about fippy? Must be a part of that red personality I hear so much about. And you guys wonder why no one in their right mind rolls red.

Hey thanks a lot for the offer, to tell you the truth I have been really considering rolling red for a long time. I tried a few times a while ago but that ended badly, unfortunately I'm really stubborn and hate giving up. Right now I'm a bit tied up on blue trying to make that last leg of the journey to 60, but afterwards I will prolly roll a casual alt on red.

On red you're grinding mobs to become more powerful to kill other people or defend yourself easier.
On blue you're grinding mobs to become more powerful and to uh.....grind mobs easier... once you comprehend this distinction you will most likely find blue absurdly flat and boring like the rest of us p99 to red99 converts.

I fully understand that, if I were to dedicate to r99 I would do it for the pvp. Thus I plan on rolling a wiz, they sound kinda fun in pvp and I sure as hell wouldn't app to Nihilum when hitting 60, sounds like a blue guild.

the fact that you even have the itch to play red shows your finding the repetitive/trivial pve on the blue server at least some what stale
go ahead and cut your losses and roll red now, preferably with a friend or 2
the number one reason people don't commit or try red is they don't want to re-level or farm gear after finally reaching caps on blue (which takes significantly longer then on red)
once you go red you will have 0 desire to play blue, like I said mobs are for farming blue doesn't really make sense your farming mobs so you can efficiently farm more mobs?
really obvious and boring hamster wheel over there

I have no problems with the grind, although I'm very much not patient i don't seem to mind grinding much. I want to fucking pvp though. i never liked the concept of pvp in eq, I thought it was stupid and a horrible idea, but it just kinda nags at me. I guess I can't knock it until I try it.
