You can't use this spell to farm items, kill steal... maybe. If you read what the spell does, if it works it poofs them, no exp, no loot, nothing except for a mob off your back. This spell only works on mobs lvl 46 or under, therefore you can't kill Vox or Naggy with it.

Never worked on players, much like trying to cast an undead destroy spell on a non undead. I had on it on live.

The only time I was able to get it to have any effect on a player, I had it as my only spell memmed and had them attack me while link dead.

Sure enough link dead Nirgon casted disintigrate and Lukye resisted it (60 enchanter) -- why it was able to even score a chance to resist on a player way over the level... who the fuck knows. I wish I could have tested it against him completely naked/debuffed while LD but we just moved on :(.

It worked on the lower level shaman pets to 1 shot them for sure though. Even player controlled ones.

I think 52 is too high... the lvl I think was like 40 or so not 52.

and your link says 56 not 46.

Description: The wizard form of banishment, this spell allows the wizard to attempt an outright kill to the target.
It does require a component however, and is restricted to NPC's level 56 and under.

anyways the question is not whether it should work on npcs, as nirgon posted about for whatever reason.

the question is why the spell description says it works on mobs up to 52, but it does not work on a lvl 49 mob.

The wiki is not 100% reliable. Some of the original content, like spells descriptions, was copied & pasted from other websites which were updated past 2001. It is managed by the player base and the dev team has nothing to do with it. If you see something wrong there, just update it.

Also my link says max level is 56 in the spell description, which is a non dated information and may have been updated past 2001. The relevant infos are the comments from 2001, saying it does work on mobs 46 and lower.

It didn't differentiate between undead or summoned like the other "banish" lines.

But it wasn't up to lvl 52 brotha. Try it on a sub howler shaman pet in PvP.

Necro's get Banishment which kinda works the same way, you couldn't banish an undead pet which is why necros used Exile Undead to kill pets with a few nukes in the Live BotB-- odds are disintegrate is not suppose to work on player casted pets but I could be wrong
