Overwhelming majority of the community is awful at EQ.

Significant XP loss on PvP deaths was only discouraging PvP and promoting gay behavior like zone-hopping and plugging to be even more prevalent than it already was.

ye not sure waht chewie is even crying about. besides gloinz, he was the number 1 zone hopper/plugger on the server. he wasnt worried about xp loss because he was always ready to throw his modem out the window.

mindless grinding isnt for everyone. and before you say thats what eq1 is all about then you probably didnt play classic. min/maxers and poopsockers were the minority. unfortunately the player base is completely different on p99. classic eq was pretty casual and it made the game a lot more enjoyable. i was also 14 years old and had a lot more time on my hands. xp loss on pvp death at 50+ was highly discouraging to anyone with a life outside the box.

I'm all for consequences but you have to make them not shitty enough that it creates a server where 99.99% of people engage in gay behavior like zone-hopping and /quitting at the slightest whiff of PvP.. Yet make them still bad enough that PvP deaths aren't anything, either.

i know you like to sound tough but your whole crew couldn't Wait to grind, seeing me in zone was a huge hassle for everyone. i slowed down exp no matter what the outcome of the fight would be, usually you saving the day!! by porting the group out as soon as i zoned in
sometimes yes we'd get into some tussles when you were in brotherhood, but the end result of those weeks was nips greegon pragma basiah all logged on one after another, running out of guk. i just let them go. i knew exactly what was going on and i smiled :)
this was all before your bard by the way, well maybe you were grinding it quietly in some far away zone while 60% of the server was in guk

The truth is Chewie is afraid of real PvP. You will never see him in a spot like Howling Stones, Sebilis or Karnos. I am willing to bet chewie does not even know his way around those zones. He wont go because of the PvP. Little ironic for someone who "loves" PvP. What he really "loves" is a short corpse run incase he dies. For someone who likes to grief people, he wont go to knuark because he knows he will be griefed.

1. not trying to sound tuff, i play role play a hobbit from lord of the rings on a 14 year old elf simulator.

2. i fucking hate guk to begin with. everyone knows i love solb which is way more hostile than guk. i dont think ive ever gone there to "grind" more like get someone a fbss or some other shitty classic loot that pals wanted. trust me i hate that place with or without pvp.

3. never dreaded you or inc pvp, I dreaded all the other frogs that would be brought/join to the fight or the CR that mite be inc. most of the time i dont think you or the other flowers intentionally trained us but there were a few times that it was just ridiculous. trains and guk pvp kinda go hand and hand, i guess its the nature of the beast.

lol i remember that. ran (and like 4 guards) was brought by someone else but for some reason i agroed him when i started nuking that barbarian shammy, i forget his name but he thinks hes a robot. that was one of my fav fights of all time on this box. poor saidin lol had to port around to CR you guys. damn i miss classic eq.

like i said, guk pvp and trains just happen. its annoying and unavoidable. i remember one time salem ran thru guk to assasinate me. after a backstab or two i was down to nothing. he brought most of guk with him and when i was low health i agroed his train and took a pve death. i know it wasnt intentional cuz i talked to him afterwards. think he was more upset he got ksed the frogs.
