Server UP

Server is now running on a new host, and is back online. I rushed to get this up before I went to sleep (Which should have been 2 hours ago =\) so I don't have time to post some patch notes (There were a lot of changes applied) or stay to help res people that died due to the server outage or were in awkward places, but I shall be around Monday Night to assist.

Do you know if we got ddos'd again? Or if the server is coming up again in a reasonable timeframe? Odd that it wouldn't take 15 minutes for it to happen again, if it did in fact happen again.

I'm browsing forums on eqemulator.net and goofing around with the idea of coding a bit, and here I come across "server up". So I click on the link and people are saying it's up and I'm thinking, "But up for how long????" And bam, apparently it's down again. Lol.

You need to make sure that the new host is better prepared for DDOS attacks just in case it happens again. I seriously was not expecting the server to come up for a week. Take the time. Don't rush.

Yea, Its back up. Stupid data center put the server on automatic updates reboot at 3 AM.. RIGHT after I went to sleep.. Stupid... and its being enforced via group policy somehow I need to figure out how to disable it. gpedit.msc probably. Gotta go to work though, server back up.

Not sure what this is. I did log into PEQ over the weekend maybe I got LDON cooties on my install.

Edit: I don't expect any help from dev here, but wanted to put this error here is case other's get it.

I meant the LDON herpes thing as a joke. I don't think it actually has anything to do with the unknown error, but I am now glad I posted that here.

Haha I woke up and freaked out because the server is supposedly back up (and I, like others, am gf-less and off work today) only to get slammed with the unknown error! LS prolly needs a restart. It'll happen sooner or later :)

Yes it could be targeted again, but depending on the hosts networking gear/skill it might not matter.

Maybe so, but what other option do we have Wonton? It seems like we either try and hope this person stops (my vote) or we give up entirely. I don't know what has been done to this person that they feel the need to act like this, but I'm sure the problem could be worked out. If it cannot and they won't stop, then I suppose we are left with only the hope that somehow this type of malicious activity can eventually be combated and we can try again later.

I got this one for the first time today but only when connecting to p1999 and right after being booted. I was able to connect to other servers fine.
