There has been criminals running rampant over Red99. Innocent lives have been wasted through vile actions of devious scum. Hard earned platinum pieces have been wrenched from lifeless corpses with a twisted grin. Many "umad/bad/sad bro"s have been noted. The complains have reached an all time high. The peaceful citizens have demanded resolution.

It has come time to trap these criminals and send them to the bowels of hell. I, General Zade the Destroyer, am calling upon the brave and righteous amongst the red99 population to server a higher power and rid the world of these pests. Be forewarned, there are many people in this world who may resist you. They may kill you for your efforts. Its up to you to decide your role in this world.

On Thursday, June 13th @ 9:00PM EST, the first official Bounty Hunt of red99 will take place. One player will be designated the "bounty" for the hunt. Everyone else is tasked with killing the bounty within an hour after the bounty is called. Make the killing blow (YT) within the said hour and you shall be rewarded. If the bounty survives the hour, the reward is theirs.

This is a completely voluntary event. I will not declare someone as a bounty unless they wish to put their best survival efforts out there. If you wish to take a stab at being the bounty, send me a PM. Only those who PM me can be chosen as the bounty. The hunters do not need to send PMs. Anyone can be a bounty hunter, but the mark will be chosen by me at random on the day of the event.

Rules:
The mark, or "bounty", will have to stay in the specified zone for the entire hour when the hunt is called. No camping, quitting, LD, zoning, evaccing, porting, etc. Any removal from zone is a forfeit from the hunt.

The bounty can call upon the help of his friends, if he or she so chooses. But be warned, if you do so choose to call in the help of your friends, they will NOT be able to collect the reward by killing you.

Clicky wands and trak teeth are not allowed for this event. Its a hunt, not a gank.

Bard speed is not allowed on the bounty. Spirit of Wolf speed is acceptable, but don't try evading from circling you adversaries. In the Wild West, you would get tired and die.

The bounty can not die and be rezzed and continue the event. Once the bounty is dead, the event is over.

A PM must be sent to Zade OR petition in game to enter the raffle as the bounty. The bounty will be chosen at random. RNG /random 1-XXX will choose the winner. The zone will also be chosen at random.

The timer for the event will start in game. It will be 60 minutes. Prior to the hunt beginning, I will give a "last known whereabouts" of the bounty. From there it is up to you to find him and kill him.

This event will be for those who are 52+. Those below level 52 have not committed enough crimes to be noticed. Continue your actions and you will find yourself among the chosen.

To win this event as the Bounty Hunter, you need to score the killing blow (YELLOW TEXT) on the bounty before the hour has elapsed.

To win this event as the Bounty, you need to survive the entire hour without being killed.

my vote is for everfrost. perfect mix of open/large area, water, tunnels.. or maybe tox because the fog and trees means you can't see too far. or feerot, or even lake rathe.

treefitty was chosen given gm buffs since obviously it's dumb to have an event like this with a level 55 druid who can be on shot. he's placed in everfrost we defend him and sit there for about 15 minutes with nothing happening. Then he's moved to oasis. We make it there before everyone else, make andis / colgate gate pot, down a couple people sit there again. Then Innoruuk and CT spawn quadding and summoning our guildies and then chain pop, Sirken removes all of treefitty's gm buffs and he gets downed in .05 sec as we're being summoned and chased by bard speed quadding gods. about zero pvp occurred and it was a waste of 40 minutes of my life.

Hes ported to Everfrost, everybody goes there and azrael/force get stomped.

Hes ported to Oasis, everybody goes there and azrael/force get stomped again.

They spawn 2 cazic thule and 2 Innoruuk with bard speed on top of our raid.

While we're done killing god #2, while were trying to survive 2 other gods with bard speed., Sirken strips treefitty's buffs completely while hes getting nuked by 2 players.

This was a great event, really. Fun running around chasing the bounty, im surprised more ppl didnt show up to kill him? And no lower levels just running around to check out the event. (Granted, it did change locations and they would need ports.) If all of nilly didn't defend the bounty, then i bet his 25k HP wouldnt have been stripped. Changing the location, spawning mobs, was all really great decisions to keep it fun and interesting, and not a Zerg Force 60-minute buff break.

Did anyone record how long the Bounty was up for? Must have been like 40 minutes. Everfrost in itself is an awesome zone, but hard to access, and Nihilum held it at the bottleneck in BB. Oasis was.. a great sandbox (heh) of a zone to have this in. With the water, towers, huts etc.

Also, never considered that Bounty might be buffed (good idea!). But in this case, it was like 25 Nihilum vs. 10 others... your extreme Blue Crush zerg actually was self fulfilling, necessitating PVE to quench the hunger burning within. I guess if there's ever a Nihilum Overload, you can bet some PVE is going down, somewhere.

Holy fuck you're immersed relax and calm down bro have a mojito or something. I get it, you guys "won" [p.s. never saw Pudge at event once] so it was amazing A+ event. Those of us who don't take shit 2 serious and can be rational can hopefully admit the event had little to no pvp and was kinda a dud compared to past events with far more PVP. You can cough it up to the "zerg" [aka classic raiding numbers for this content] or something, I gave some possible suggestions for future events. Also the rules said if the guy calls for his friends to help or some shit we're not allowed to then kill the bounty. I think we interpreted this as guildies can't kill each other, I dunno if that was a correct interpretation or not. My care level is a 1.5 out of 10, just positing that if the goal was PVP it was sorely lacking.

Again, my suggestion would be maybe a big 10v10v10v10 chosen by GM's, a FFA with illusions, maybe a tag-team championship type thing where you can "tag" out, 3v3 tourney chosen by GM's from one Force one Nihilum one Random, a FFA bounty type event where the target is a NPC and only minimal hints are given, or perhaps you get additional clues per YT you garner, a King of the Hill type PVP event, a jousting tourney where you can only equip Weapon_01 and nothing else, popping a random raid boss creating two different teams chosen by GM's or 3 different teams and forcing people to play with each other who normally don't and pvp their pals, etc., etc., all of these would lead to more PVP than what happened last night. That doesn't mean the GM's are bad, or I'm mad or sad, it's just brain storming how to create some fun PVP because those of us who can be honest and rational aka not fecal nihilum hate brain rot type people, can admit there was really little to no pvp at the event.

As a leader, it would have been counter productive to take 2groups that are xping very fast, rushing to 60, to go get stomped by 25+ Nilly. 12 vs 25 for the fun of an event when we are already all grinding in top notch area was exactly going to be ideal.

I just couldn't make that call. For what, a title? Call me blue, but it was NOT productive to show up into a full on zerg.

Zade made an event, but it just was another event based towards the bigger zerg side winning. Like Checkraise said, it needs to be either 10 vs 10 vs 10 vs 10 with the admins choosing the sides. Zade made an event, but it just was another event based towards the bigger zerg side winning. Like Checkraise said, it needs to be either 10 vs 10 vs 10 vs 10 with the admins choosing the sides. Heartbrand is actually correct guys, stop trolling the fuck out of him. As far as why we didn't show up, we were busy being blue, focused on getting players to 60 so we can take the fight to Nilly. As a leader, it would have been counter productive to take 2groups that are xping very fast, rushing to 60, to go get stomped by 25+ Nilly. 12 vs 25 for the fun of an event when we are already all grinding in top notch area was exactly going to be ideal.

I just couldn't make that call. For what, a title? Call me blue, but it was NOT productive to show up into a full on zerg.

I disagree with Sirken's comments btw, if that was the intent of the event there were a number of ways to make that happen that would have been fun and not retarded other than randomly popping quadding gods and stripping the bounties buffs with no warning. AKA, make it clear from the get go that it's a FFA type event, give a warning buffs being stripped in two minutes, change it mid event to FFA, etc., etc. Just seemed lazy the way it went down and kind of a cop out. Inb4 the same four people who don't even play on this server spam mad and bad.

If I had to take a guess I would say 7/7 of the people that signed up to be the hunted were Nilly members and would have all had the same protection. Your entire guild knew what the event was and you knew there was a prize, which is exactly why you all showed up and probably had DKP awarded.

The GMs put in way more effort to try to build the community then the community does itself. If you guys cared about making an event fun you would have split up into teams. If you wanted to dominate just to get a prize (which you obviously thought was more than a title) then the fact that there was no PvP didn't really bother you.

It obviously annoyed Sirken that time was invested into an event and this server showed up with 5-7 pvpers, 25 people wanting to get their hands on a prize, and the rest of the server ignoring it all together to do normal PvE. He then took it upon himself to fuck up the event and not let the zerg win.

I wouldn't be surprised if the prize wouldn't have been something else if the community would have done the event correctly. You fucking zerg and try to fix an event and the prize gets changed to a title instead of a chance of getting a real item.

You want the GMs to force illusions on everyone or hard code 10 man teams somehow because you can't figure it out on your own? If there were illusions and teams are they going to disable your teamspeak and not allow 3 of the teams to team up vs the other team that isn't Nilly?
