I was passing through lake of ill omen on p99 yesterday and saw multiple Deep npcs.
What should happen to these assuming someone spawns them and leaves them up?
Should there be a depop timer for them, or should one remain up without the possibility of more until the first is slain?

we did that fight yesterday, people usually ignore deep as shes not needed to die in the fight, and with her Snare/Slow ae proc makes people want to kite her out and let it be, because the amount of mana and time to kill her is a waste while kititng is so easy, even tho we killed her since she was stubborn, but the other 4 around should have been whomever did the fight before. And if you dont kill happens what you see right now, few deeps up.
She should be despawned after Xenovorash, last boss, dies. (thats my opinion)
but accordingly to wiki
[ ] Fist of Water
( ) OPTIONAL Find dark elf named Deep in underwater caverns of Lake Rathetear and turn in the Head. She will give it back then despawn.
( ) Go to Overthere and locate a monk named Astral Projection (Overthere). Hand him the Head and receive Eye of Kaiaren.
( ) In Lake of Ill Omen, give a Astral Projection (LOIO) the Eye to spawn Vorash and Deep. Once both mobs die, Xenovorash will spawn. Kill Xenovorash and loot Demon Fangs.
thats not accurate, Xenovorash spawns once Vorash dies alone, doesnt matter if Deep is up or not.

I do not have any information regarding a classic deep, but....
In my opinion there should be a depop timer, i think Astrol projection is on a 2 hour and 30 min timer, maybe have deep depop in 2 hours and 25 min.
she is an irrelevant npc when it comes to the quest, having her spawned in the lake is a nuisance to the lvl range of pc's that run by her. she pretty much instant snares anyone that gets to close and smash's there skulls in real quick. a Depop timer i think would help prevent any unfortunate bystanders

June 23, 2001 Quick and Dirty Walkthrough:
5. Hand in the "eye of Kaiaren" to the Astral Projection in Lake of Ill Omen. Kill Deep, Vorash, and Xenovorash. Loot the "Demon's Fang".
January 22, 2002 epic walkthrough
Step 9: Master Vorash
In Lake of Ill Omen, out on the platform in the middle of the lake you will find Astral Projection again. This fight is a tough one, so I'd suggest at least 3 groups. Once you hand Astral Projection the Eye it will spawn Vorash and Deep, who immediately start kicking butt and taking names. Have one group take Deep out. She hits for 160ish, and procs Fist of Water, so that group will want lots of CR. Master Vorash procs Fist of Mastery, which is a mean stun and DD, so those two groups will want MR. I don't know how hard he hits yet, I'll edit that in later. Once both mobs are dead Xenovorash will spawn. He's mean. Very mean. I believe he will be proccing Fist of Sentience which is a megastun and 500DD. So everyone will want MR at this point. Again, don't know what he hits for, but 3 groups shouldn't have too much trouble. Xenovorash drops a Demon's Fang.
Another walkthrough same page, February 18, 2002:
6) Now you are off to The Overthere and into the Skorpikis Pits. You hand Astral Projection Trunt’s Head and receive an Eye of Kaiaren. You then must go directly to Lake of Ill Omen and find the Astral Projection which is where those 4 pillars are sticking out of the water are. You should have your groups awaiting you there. Note: It is safest to have about 3 or 4 groups so you can be assured that you will win this fight. Once you hand the Eye of Kaiaren to the Astral Projection in Lake of Ill Omen, Vorash and Deep will then spawn. Deep and Vorash both hit for 170 and proc a DD and Stun. Note: Have one group on Deep while the other people are all on Vorash. Once both Deep and Vorash are dead (they drop no items) you then must wait a couple minutes for Xenevorash to spawn on the platform. Xenevorash hits for around 250 and procs a 500DD with a stun and that stun is a 10 second stun I believe. Once Xenevorash has been pulled to shore and killed, you then loot the Demon Fangs.
Everlore Message Board:
November 16, 2001 archive; This one is a bit ambiguous does not specifically say that both Deep and Vorash have to die.
When you give the Eye of Kaiaren to the Astral Projection, he despawns immediatly, and Deep and Vorash both spawn, who are KOS.
Deep procs Fist of Water, and hits for 170ish. Vorash procs Fist of Mastery, which is a DD and a stun, and hits for around the same as Deep.
Both Deep and Vorash have no items.
Once killed, Vorash says 'Foolish mortal! You think you have defeated me? Now, witness the true power of Rallos Zek!
Xenevorash will then spawn on the platform, regardless of where Vorash dies.
Xenovorash Procs Fist of Sentience which is a 500DD and a stun, and hits for 250 ish.
Once he is killed, his death message is:
Xenevorash's corpse shouts 'Grraaaagghhhh!! NOT.. POSSIBLE!
He drops a Demon's Fang.
Tactics: The final battle was done with 4 groups, which where all 52 to 58th level, one group was on Deep, all with high CR, and 3 groups where all on Vorash, with high MR. Due to the large amount of people involved, the fight was not bad, with no casualties.
Some groups pull Deep and Vorash to the 'beach', and this is normally done by a Bard or Druid with a faster than SoW song/spell, but this is not nescesary, and the fight can easily be done on the platform. However, fighting on the beach does allow a brief time to rebuff for the Xenevorash fight.
February 20, 2001 Zam comment for LoIO regarding Xenevorash

Xenevorash himself is a giant Sarnak skeleton that is approx level 59 and has, well, alot of hit points. Ya see, the big thing is that he is completely magic resistant. Yep, not even lures get through. We had three monks(one with CF already), a rogue, a SK, a paladin(myself), two necro pets, two mage earth pets, and, get this, one enchanter pet. He hits on average for 200-230 and he does rampage when hit get down to about 20% hit points. He spawns after killing Deep and Vorash out on the platform in the lake where the astral projection usally is. This is also where Deep and Vorash spawn when you give the astral projection a certain item. He stays spawned for a surprisingly long amount of time considering we had to go into round two to take him down hehe.

Hm interesting. Well, I found this older bug report handled by kanras.
http://www.project1999.org/forums/showthread.php?t=60898
This has some discussion about how it is not necessary to kill both Vorash and Deep. So, I'm not changing that part until further evidence is provided.
Pending update,
Deep and Vorash will depop after 80 minutes as long they aren't engaged.

Well, to add to Ele's evidence of Deep needing to be killed in order for Xenevorash to spawn.
