Weird Loot Bug

It seems like 3/10 times I run and play EQ on my laptop, it wont let me loot anything. The only way to remedy this seems to be restarting the program.. it lets me click on the body and collect the coin, but everytime I try to click on an item to loot, it just closes the loot screen all together. Its really odd, and not really that big of a deal, but it is annoying.

when you log back in, is anything on your cursor? you can't loot an item from a corpse if there is something on your cursor, and there are a few ways to get a ghost item to appear on your cursor.

One way that I know of is to eat/drink really fast, and you'll usually get the last one that you eat/drink to be stuck on your cursor until you log out/in.

Hmm.. i'll give that a try. I suppose its worth mentioning that ive been grinding at my spot for a few days, and I havent gotten the chance to refill on food/water, so ive been summoning it everytime I log on.. I betcha that's what it is.. Thank you..!

also, that likely is your problem. If it still doesn't seem to work when you're not summoning stuff, i'd try to reinstall eq and see if that fixes it. There could have been something wonky happening when you installed that caused this (unlikely, but you never know)

hey yall . had this bug several times in howling stones south wing but only there and in no other zone so far.and it wasnt just me but my groupmembers as well. we also were the only ones in the zone. restarting computer didnt solve the problem for any of us. seems like a server problem ?

possibly lag related server side at the time it occurred. Has been known to happen.

Possibly a server-side glitch as well. Only happened that one time?
