Deleveling in relation to skills.

I remember on one of the PVP servers on live people would de-level and have maxed out skills . Does this happen on red here? Forgive my ignorance , I haven't tried pvp emu yet.

If you deleveled on live, your 'actual' skills were maxed out at 2 levels worth (10 points) above the cap for your current level iirc.

in wudan we would clear tov just for alt gear , everyone ran their alts and died , then you drag the corpse and clear north. If you win a loot you log on nublet rez him loot and slay him again.

I delvled a 46 rogue to lvl 13 on RZ (for backstab). I would routinely one shot melees and casters without them sitting.

BTW, they changed it in Velious or Luclin era, so it didn't work anymore.

Dude I remember that shit in HPH. There were a few nasty nasty deleveled twinks. It was so rewarding to team up on them though.

I remember the one day my group finally killed one I got a blue diamond ring and was ecstatic. It was like a fucking boss battle. One of the many reasons I think item loot is legit. But I understand why its not in as well.

best bet might be to check out how its done in the stock eqemu servers, most likely p99 didnt add any new code in relation to this otherwise we would have known about it

Yeah before Luclin it was classic to have your skill as high as you leveled it before you were delvled, during Luclin they patched the skills maxing out at 2 levels higher then you. I do clearly remember this being classic as shit when I got BS'd 1 shot by some doucher rogue in Unrest.

You & Godparticle are both correct. At least when it came to Rallos Zek.

There was a rash of de-leveled level 10 rogues with a level 50's skill level. Patch came shortly thereafter with the 10-point max limit.

Shit was rough there for a while. Hell, it was still rough after the nerf.
