I have been trying to make my way through Star Trek "Voyager" on netflix but this Choad is ruining it for me :-( I want him to die so bad.
If you're just trying to get your star trek fix after coming down from TNG, I'd highly recommend Deep Space 9 if you haven't seen it. I liked it much better than Voyager, although Kai Winn episodes are arguably worse than Neelix ones. Dominion War arc is pretty good.

There are too many to list, Lots of active shows still being aired. As well as ones that have been finished/cancelled. Hulu and Netflix are pretty good at matching up shows/movies to your liking. I watched some series on Hulu called http://www.hulu.com/new-amsterdam which started off really good but unfortunately it was cancelled mid season. If you like TV shows like Fringe, Supernatural, Xfiles and that type of thing heres a good list for those who haven't seen these since they mostly went unnoticed or were never renewed.
http://www.hulu.com/journeyman
http://www.hulu.com/john-doe
http://www.hulu.com/the-dresden-files
http://www.hulu.com/the-pretender
http://www.hulu.com/endgame
And there are oh so many more. I have a shit ton of free time so I always have some show running on my second monitor. I don't watch most comedys, Big Bang Theory is about as much as I watch as far as that goes and only when nothing else is on.
As far as what I am currently watching right now, Just to pull some names out of my torrent folder:
Bones
Castle
Game of Thrones
Bates Motel
Vegas
Person of Interest
Walking Dead
Lost Girl
Supernatural
The Vampire Diaries
Star Trek(TNG, DS9, Voyager)
The Shield
Vikings
Criminal Minds
House Of Lies
House of Cards
Spartacus
Banshee(good show on starz or showtime something)
The Americans
Justified
NCIS/NCIS LA
The Following
White Collar
Elementary
Hell on Wheels
Continuum
Teen Wolf
Breaking Bad
Grimm
Longmire
Secrect Circle
Falling Skies
True Blood
I could go on and on with cancelled and still airing shows but i covered some. Hopefully Defiance, We'll see this monday.

The Wire is the best fuckin show ever put on TV.
It was done after 5 series though, I think any more than that and they'd have been milking it too much.
Been avoiding the spoilers for season 3 of Game of Thrones and The Walking Dead, looking forward to watching them in the summer. Much prefer to do a 3-4 episode mini marathon than have to sit on the cliffhangers every week :D
Other than that, all the Star Treks are good watching...except for the early TNG stuff, which is where Gene lost his way and couldn't decide between family viewing and stuff bordering on horror. Star Trek needs/needed more horror attached, space is far too friendly or predictable I'd say. If they ever put another series out, they NEED to get away from the Federation. Make it about a dishonored Klingon ship or something, give it a Game of Thrones "no character is guaranteed to live" feel (would definitely work in a Klingon universe)... get me Rick Berman!
Breaking Bad is meant to be good, that's on my list but I never seem to get to it :/
Also...thanks to the growing amount of channels, they're showing loads of episodes of "Cops" here - I find them extremely entertaining :D
EDIT: Doctor Who - totally totally overrated! The old episodes from the 1970s-1990s were better than the CGI infested shit they've been putting out since they brought it back.

Would TOTALLY watch a show centered on Klingons. Awesomesauce right there.
I always wanted to see a show with Riker as the main, centered on the USS Titan. Don't think Frakes would be keen on the idea of full time work like that again, though.

I like Grimm actually, its watchable. The whole julliette story arc is played out though, I'm getting tired of her as a whole.
If you've ever seen 1 season of Supernatural, you can stop watching it. Its ridiculous in how repetitive it is.
Haven is a good one, if it ever gets aired again. Syfy is funky where they don't have set season schedules for some shows.
True blood is decent unless you've read the books, then its horrendous. But this can be said for almost anything.
I'm watching Heroes again, I never got past the first season because they changed the writers or something for the second and it was blatant how bad it got.
Eventhough I've seen them all many, many times, I'm still watching married with children and night court.

Been told that by more than one person about Supernatural.
Heores went downhill after season 1. But damn it was good that season! By the time you get to season 4 you're saying to yourself "A Carnival? Really?"
Night Court was my favorite show growing up. (Alongside ST:TNG.) I still often tell people "...but I'm feeling MUCH better now!"

I'm up to date with it actually. All 8 seasons :T I wish they could recreate what made the first seasons good by using different plotlines but I agree it's saturated with repetitiveness.

Due to the early season episodes having considerably good plots, it bought them some slack and much earned respect to the point where you can tolerate the repetitiveness as being just an inevitable ; as opposed to lazy writing or lack of passion. There's only so much they can do forever.
As for Defiance, it's awful. Poor sets, CGI,; worse dialog and acting. Ridiculous stereotypes and completely overshadowed by too much BSG influence simply for luring in viewers.
Defiance is the quintessential example of the 'Sy Fy' network. As soon as they changed the name to be more hip, it was all down hill.

what are you talking about? Supernatural was very average in the beginning with their random monster of the week plots. It didn't started to get good until they got into long multy-season archs and writing up their own demonic lore, rather than rehashing on oh-so-common and ultra redone themes like wendigos and vamps.

I guess we disagree. I rather enjoy short stories in lieu of drawn-out impossibility archs. With the monster of the week plots, there is at least a small possibility they could survive each episode. By season 4, there's just no way. I guess what I'm saying is.. they hunt and fight monsters. When they are fighting the King of Hell, Lucifer, and the Leviathans, it was a little much. Still watching it though.

The thing that turns me off the most (besides what you just mentioned) I think is that the main characters never seem to evolve or grow in any major respect. All of this crazy shit happens to them, but their characters aren't believable enough for me. I'm sad to say, I don't 'worry' about the characters like I do with other shows. It just feels meh.
