I think it's safe to say that all the above recipes have been proven to be in the game back in 1999 and hopefully we will see them implemented within the next patch or 2.

And yes, I only included recipes here that were proven to be in game.

A LOT of recipes were in game in classic. One thing to keep in mind is that throughout most of classic, eqtraders was explicitly not a recipe source, it was designed as more of a bazaar, and a collaborative place for traders to work. Niami didn't begin listing recipes on a large scale until closer to Kunark.

The entire tradeskill community across all servers only numbered in the hundreds until the velious tradeskill boom as a result of the prayer shawl, so many classically proven recipes (the names are listed in the recipe books on the vendors) weren't actually discovered until kunark or later (Chocolate Covered Cherries and Pixie Powder Cinnesticks for example weren't discovered until velious).

I have 2 very complete lists from Kunark that don't list snake pickles which is why I am a little reluctant about them. The Item ID 20397 for snake pickles is also a little strange, being pretty well sandwiched by Kunark era IDs and recipes, and while I don't rely on ItemIDs blindly it is peculiar. While it may be listed in one of the classic era cookbooks, it doesn't necessarily mean it was implemented in classic.

Chocolate Marr Cherries and Pixie Powder Cinnesticks were presumably both added to the game at the same time (IDs are consecutive), and came very late in classic, maybe even bridging into Kunark, so it wouldn't really surprise me if they were found out later on.

Judging by the content of Guineapig's post, I'd say the recipe was broken, and fixed, if ItemID is a consideration. Dont know if to fix something they had to completely remove it and re add it, or if ItemIDs are generated by the SQLserver, if it came in a patch with several other things being fixed, another item may have been assigned its old ID if it hit the database first.

I can't find a rogue to help me confirm whether the Mortar and Pestle combine for it is broken. Any volunteers?

Got someone to test it. It does work with a Mortar and Pestle, but failed, and is supposed to be no-fail.

Crushed Flame Agates are only used for one recipe: Fiery Temper

Fiery Tempers are only used in two quests:

Added the race name to the Unfired Cookie Cutters. New item names are: Unfired Barbarian Cookie Cutter, Unfired Gnome Cookie Cutter, Unfired Troll Cookie Cutter and Unfired Animal Cookie Cutter.

This wasn't an addition of the items, but a revision in the name on the unfired version when made with pottery, rather than 4 different racial cookie cutters and a generic cookie cutter all named simply "Unfired Cookie Cutter"

Not quite sure what you mean. Why would the UI have any influence on the tradeskill recipe being in the game?

(Edit: I think you might be referring to the situation we had with certain research spells only being combinable using the modern tradeskill interface which was removed recently. I haven't seen anything posted about beer braised recipes falling into this catergory but I can check tomorrow.)

Referring to this thread (http://www.project1999.org/forums/showthread.php?t=3516&highlight=beer+braised).

The solution in that thread ultimately wound up being Nilbog fixing the beer braised meat recipes. However that was nearly 6 months ago, and several tradeskill recipes were broken (if my information is correct) when a script was run to batch remove recipes that fit a certain criteria. If they're on this list they're currently borked.

Thanks on behalf of tradeskillers everywhere for the fixes!

Now that we've got the tools to combine previously unavailable recipes, we're discovering some new ones.

And in an effort to do some pre-emptive bug busting, I'm including recipes that we can't currently test, since it seems that all recipes which were previously unavailable due to the missing tools were also not functioning. Hopefully these will prevent the need for a third generation tradeskill patch.

Is there currently any way left to get to 200 skill in baking and/or brewing or not until Kunark?

Baking to 202 with Pixie Powder Cinnesticks, Brewing to 248 with Minotaur Hero's Brew. You can take one over 200.

In classic the cap was 200, jewelcraft was the only tradeskill to go above 200 for a very long time, but it had humble beginnings and was originally designed not to go over 200. It originally scaled differently and had fewer possible gem combinations. Blue diamonds were only for quests and didn't combine, and most combinations made different things.

Here's a chart of the old combinations (bottom of page), trivials went 3 5 8 10 13 15 18 20, up to 200. 78 combines, two broken recipes, and a new trivial every 2.5 points, rounded up.

I could have sworn I tried Minotaur Hero's Brew right after the last brewing recipes were fixed and the combine was not working. Have you tested that combine recently?

Both baking and brewing are able to go higher than they should be able to right now because there are recipes in game that shouldn't be in.

Pretty sure baking should cap at 162 (cakes) and Brewing at 168 (Ginesh, etc).

Advancement in any tradeskill beyond 200 pre-Kunark should not be possible right now in p99.

The combine works. Baking has two containers: Spit/Oven, and Mixing Bowl. Always be sure to double check that you're combining in the correct container.

As it should be, vegetables were only available from forage in classic, not from a combine.

Tested all shields:

Round Shields, Tower Shields, and Targ Shields are working.

All sizes of Bucklers and Kite Shields are broken.

The Journeyman Rune (Beza) recipe produces the Journeyman Rune (Azia). I did not perform an exhaustive test with all the variations of rawhide armor allowable in the combine. I did confirm at least that this held true for the large rawhide leggings and large rawhide gloves combine.

Others are having the problem as well and it would seem that the Journeyman Rune (Beza) combine is not possible. See the below thread for more details:

Clump of Dough combine will work in a spit (found out on accident, forgot to use my mixing bowl one day). It is duplicatable. I have not tried it in an oven.

I tried last night, after several hours of hunting/travel to gather needed items, to research the spell Summoning: Fire (lvl 24 mage). The trivial benchmark is at 62 and my research is at 65. I didn't receive the spell and lost the items....is this broken as well or am I not understanding how research works?

I searched several phrases and terms to try to find a specific post for this and found none, so I apologize if I missed it.

Just a guess, but you probably just straight up failed it. It sucks, but there is a slight chance of failure even if your skill is above the trivial, as far as i know.

Clay Conversions aren't working correctly i think.

Block + Water won't result in 3 of a smaller piece.

While 3x Block of Clay + Water result in a Large Block.

Wheter the Wiki is wrong, or the Game Mechanic.
