AC / SoS / KDs vs IFS vs PB vs Tstaff etc. etc.

Im wondering if anyone has parsed the actual DPS of all these weapons pre-lvl 50. I know after 50 Tstaff is pretty much want you want because of the procs. But for leveling 1-50, which weapon or weapon combo has the highest dps?


I am assuming RFS is best dps pre-50 which is why I didnt it in the list, but pretty much every other 2h wep or 1h wep combo is open game. Has anyone actually tested to see which is the way to go for max dps while leveling?

Got another question ... In regards to epic, I see most people using main hand fist, off hand SoS, and seems like people on the forums kind of agree with that as well. I was wondering though for leveling, would it still be best to use main hand epic, off hand SoS? Or would it be better to just go duel fists and no weapon, having them both at 9/16 from epic? By leveling I mean lvling 30-50ish?

Also, Ive been told 2 diff things about how the off hand weapons work. Some people say for off hand you want best ratio, others say you want highest dmg. Obviously if were going max dmg in off hand, that would be an SoS with 17, right? Second place would be an Ada Club w/ 15 probably? But if its best ratio and not top dmg, maybe it would be better to just use 2 fists?

I'm curious if the 10 delay cap is in the game. If so that'd influence your question.

If the 10 delay cap is present, then that means that your fist, with 100% haste, would be a 9/10 weapon. That also means an SoS would be a 17/14 weapon (yes 100% haste is almost impossible outside of raids). So obviously then the SoS wins easily for having a ratio > 1:1.

Even 50% haste you'd see a ratio of 17/21 vs 9/13, which gives the SoS a *clear* advantage. And since there is no damage bonus in the offhand, the higher speed doesn't help you at all, only hurt in the way of more riposte chances.

That added to the proc of the SoS makes it a pretty awesome offhand weapon. Or atleast if my mathz are correct. I always see correction threads when it comes to haste, so it's possible I'm missing something.

I thought I read somewhere that the dly cap was only 5? I think on the wiki site it mentioned that the epic fists (40%) + a CoF (36%) would give you a total of 76% haste, making your fists 9/9. Obviously I wouldnt be able to click the epic fists till 50, but I am pretty sure the cap is 5 not 10.

In any regard I guess the SoS would be the way to go both for leveling and max dps at lvl 50+. Suppose I cant afford an SoS though, what do you think would be the 2nd choice? A 15/25 Adamantite Club maybe? Or do you think if you cant get the SoS, then better off to just fists it up?

I leveled myself solo from 1 to 20, and here is my input.

From level 1 to 19, Jade Mace/KD > T Staff or Peacebringer due to the fact that there is a damage cap from 1-19.

At lower level, you want to hit as much as you can, since DW and 1H are easier to level.

Also at lower level, your 2HB skills move really slow, so less chance to hit.


Once you hit level 20, damage cap is removed + Double attacks..and let me tell you...JD/KD is useless. DPS is for T-Staff or Peacebringer (I had both) is insane! each round I can hit up to 150 at level 20!

Confirmed, level 20+ grab yourself T Staff or high-end 2H and don't look back, trust me on this. If you cant afford T staff, grab a Peacebringer, its around 6-8k and it is almost as good as T Staff.

I skipped through a lot, But anyway I ran parses from 20 to 52 and beyond I still do and still have logs. From WW giants to FM giants to random OT mobs near FM life and yeti's in DL and bloodgills in loio. Even have 600+kills parsed in seb on 2-3 occasions showing dps. I solo'd all the way 1 to 53 with a fungi and RBG and basic monk gear.

As far as solo goes, I found wu trance stick/KD to be the best(unless u have jade mace mh which i do not, I swap sarnak war-hammer in for stuns when no ench/interrupters) for soloing and or group damage. I currently use trance/whitened treant fists due to no luck of an SoS drop yet. Vs a monk with epic and fist/SoS I am constantly only 25-30dps behind him in raids with ench haste and 2hb IFS. Hes 60 im 53 and he still has a huge advantage with levels since most seb stuff(krup, illis, jugs etc are even/yellow cons rest of frogs are a high high blue con).

If you are an iksar don't even bother using your fist once 60 with epic. a 14/28 will still be better in MH by 1 delay according to wiki. The best you can do is get the posky Wu's fist and then later upgrade it to its 16/22 hell even its 16/27 is decent until you can get a SoS for offhand then upgrade it to a 16/22 for main hand.

as for 1-50 on red I opted for a IFS over RFS for the joust damage and plus the RFS doubled in price within a month when it was previously 20k same as IFS. I didn't really bother with IFS until 51+ however for groups/raids with ench haste.

afaik 10 is the lowest cap you can get, So fo most just enchanter speed + selfworn haste will beat the cap assuming you have a <25 speed weapon mh.
