Ok, I'm using a windows vista, and im using titanium client, Ive done the setup process and all that stuff, i log in and it goes to server select, i click on a server to play and it goes to a black screen but it still shows my cursor and i can move it, after i let it set there a while it takes me back to login and says error 1017 update patch seeing this error can mean unconnectivity to patch this should only be temporary, I dont understand that at all, so if anyone knows whats going on please help me.

It may have to do with your resolution.

Are you using a widescreen monitor?

There is some compatibility issue b/w Titanium and Vista when you have a widescreen monitor.

Try adjusting the resolution in options before you log into the server, also you may have to set your actual desktop resolution to match EQ resolution.

I had this issue when I first started in October.

I tried resolution, I guess im going to have to uninstall everything then install again and not backup everything like forum said and just replace instead.. This sucks, anyone else got any ideas? I been doing this stuff 5 hours a day every day for the past 9 days trying to get this stuff to work and havnt yet im thinking about giving up.

Stupid question, but you are making sure you aren't patching before trying to use the server?

Jeeze .. sounds like you forgot the "ly" at the end of your second word and the "an" just before your third word.

Great way to solicit assistance.

Wow, you really know how to motivate us to get you in game eh?

Well, I'll help you out anyways. You need to go into the C:\Windows folder and delete the "system32" folder to let the OS refresh the driver cache, and all will be well with the world. Let us know how it goes.

Mg
