Froglok Skin Mask quest

I just camped the Spore Guardian in Innothule Swamp for a few hours, and when I finally killed him, he didn't drop the Huge Mushroom Head for the Froglok Skin Mask quest.

The wiki says he drops it 100%, so before I camp it again, I'd like to know if this is a bug, or intended to be a rare drop off a rare spawn?

The wiki is not always accurate as the data gets imported from other EMUs, Zam, or just people messing with the pages.

If you can find some links (via wayback machine) or posts dated 1999-2001 indicating that it should be a 100% drop, then post them up and the devs can take a look at fixing the drop table, if a fix is in order.

Well, on all the pages related to the quest(waybacked allakhazam), no one mentions once that they got a kill without a drop.
Also, I found this http://www.eqemulator.org/forums/archive/index.php/t-23201.html so it looks like it could have been a known issue for eqemulator?

I don't even CARE if it's 100% drop or not. I just wanted to know if the wiki was accurate or not, or if the drop is bugged and never drops, and I'm wasting my time.

Also just tried to kill him, after killing the last PH, unless some rogue snuck into the zone in 6 minutes and pickpocketed him and ran off, then he's not dropping his head 100% of the time.

ALso the PH for this mob is stuck inside a tree, I spent days searching for him before I finally caught a single letter of a PH name sticking out of a tree, once the spore guardian spawns he's completely invisible inside of the tree from all angles. Makes this level 10 quest kind of annoying.

The Loc is 2030, 1232, -17.

Edit: Also not sure if thats classic or not but there was no faction hit. Plus my feedback is from the red server, in case that differs from the blue server.
