gm events

I know the gm's are too busy to setup events etc, and this isnt asking for any.

Back when I played live I always thought it would be cool if there were a gm event reward that would allow 1 player from each server to create any race/class combo.

Sounds a little funky but I thought it would've been awesome to see a halfling chick SK, or a dwarf shaman. make the event some sort of roleplay challenge tied to the character created.

Would be cool to see 1 person on the server thats just extremely unique. Wondering what other people might have come up with over the years.

The character would b on a lvl 1, and most likely a burn account and sold over and over again.

yeah kinda dum to do guise/illusion events considering account trades are allowed and if a level 6 halfling druid gets an ogre/iksar/troll illusion or something it instantly becomes worth like 600k pp

might as well just do plat giveaways lol

EQ2's downfall for me was logging in and being greeted with the character creation screen.

Ogre wizards? Wood elf SKs? Call me a traditionalist... I think it was downhill from there :p

I remember a GM event on Tarew Marr early in the game where a GM jumped on Mayong Mistmoore and started running around the zone tearing everyone a new one. The only way he was defeated was when a ton of players rallied and all cast spells at the same time, crashing the zone and defeating him. Ahh, good times...

Just a few hours ago GM Alovia responded in the positive to my completely unsolicited request to turn my character into a lizard wizard.

In the lore high elves were always researching magic and I never thought it that far fetched that one might just lose his way and fall into the dark arts

never played much EQ2, but i heard a story once that there's a quest in EQ2 where a Paladin can become a Shadow Knight... High Elf SK walks into the SK guild and a guild master yells "praise Innoruuk, we've won!" or something like that :)

Yeah, that is after you have done your betrayal quest from Qeynos to Freeport as a Paladin. You have to become a SK since freeport is evil.
