Hitting for a max of 57, wich is the same max hit as 56 Servant of Bones. I thought this beast hit for 76 or the recent nerf to 69 not hitting for 57's on greens.

With the focus item it will hit for 63 or so. What proof do you have that it should be hitting harder?
It doesn't become immune to fear until after velious release. Eerily the patch was on 9/11 :/

you sir you are a noob.
first of all this pet has more hp then 49 pet fyi
it also hits for 71 dmg wich is better then the 57 max hit of 56 monk pet. it also taps for 50. been then this pet is higher lvl then 49 pet it gets hit lessoften and for less hp then any other necro pet and it will do more dmg also. On the the hole mage epic pet deal how could you compare a mage pet with a necro pet? mages depend on their pet a mage with out a pet is a weak wizzy necro ont he toerh hand can root cook mob chamr kite mobs sggro kite mob fear kite mob ect ect ect. So our pets are just more dps. So before you come talkign about stuff you dont know ( since you only 55) get you facts straight this pet is nice and is way better then 56 and 49 pet.

looks like someone messed with EoT stats and how it works and walked away with it being "resovled" currently its a mess doing more research

It should be pretty obvious why some of the devs (especially myself) focus their own research time on reducing player effectiveness where they're overpowered, and increasing NPC effectiveness where they're underpowered
why is an eq emu developer ... /classic?
just doing nerfs and upgrades as to self balance classes and not keeping it classic?
this one was brushed under the rug pet def is suppose to hit for min 61, with a 40 bash, does not do either... someone messed with it and didnt change it back
should be hitting for 69, also the hp seems off def not 2500-2800 hp
gets eaten up by stuff the 56 monk pet can tank

good way to test the HP is get a wiz to duel and nuke it and see where the HPs go. I think I'm in EC and could probably test it.

My non-booked pet is hitting max of 59 atm (first dark blue i've summoned)
Edit: couple more dark blue summons with no book and seems the max is 61 with a max bash of 26 (this pet cons yellow to a lvl 45). <--- pretty sure this is max summon without book and with book it hits for 63.

Erudite necros might be a bit more welcome in most cities, but DE's look
cooler. =)
You'll have skeletons pets all the way from level 1 to your 50's ... then
you get a Spectre pet that doesn't do much more damage than your last skelly
pet, but just looks kickass =) btw .. do NOT bother with the level 1 pet ..
it's really not worth it, and it's a huge waste of bone chips =)

This change isn't correct, pet had a max level of 47, the only pet that could be 50 was the mage epic.

has the correct max levels for pets...
During pop they changed it to only summon max, but previously pets should have a 4 level range, i.e. invoke death was 37-41, minion of shadows 39-43, etc. EoT was 43-47.

Heres what I got on Levels (Didn't they nerf pets or something?):
Lucy:
Invoke Death Changed Slot 1 from "Summon Skeleton Pet: Skeleton237" to "Summon Skeleton Pet: skel_pet_41_"
Minion of Shadows Changed Slot 1 from "Summon Skeleton Pet: Skeleton240" to "Summon Skeleton Pet: skel_pet_43_"
Servant of Bones Changed Slot 1 from "Summon Skeleton Pet: Skeleton241" to "Summon Skeleton Pet: skel_pet_44_"
Emissary of Thule Changed Slot 1 from "Summon Skeleton Pet: Skeleton245" to "Summon Skeleton Pet: skel_pet_47_"
Kunark spdat (Max Level is Type + 3?)
Invoke Death Summons a Skeleton Type 37
Minion of Shadows Summons a Skeleton Type 37
Servant of Bones Summons a Skeleton Type 37
Emissary of Thule Summons a Skeleton Type 37
Velious spdat (Max Level is Type + 3?)
Invoke Death Summons a Skeleton Type 37 (37-40)
Minion of Shadows Summons a Skeleton Type 40 (40-43)
Servant of Bones Summons a Skeleton Type 41 (41-44)
Emissary of Thule Summons a Skeleton Type 45 (45-47, 48 only possible with focus)

Did focus items raise pet level beyond their normal range in p99's timeline?

Yes, Elemental Mastery staves and encyclopedia necrothurgia added +1, and would raise it above what would be possible otherwise.

The spdat.eff on the Kunark CD is pretty unreliable btw... a lot of stuff was a copy and paste job and later edited, or just plain changed by the time kunark actually hit.

I played a mage on live, and I remember (that dirty word) the necro pets always being 1 level lower than the mage ones. I find it very hard to believe that the necro pet is 2 levels higher than the mage one.

Just got the spec pet and I can't for the life of me summon one that hits harder than the monk pet. 57 dmg is the most I have seen so far.
Dear devs, pls help.

Bump. Specter pet (LVL 59 dragon drop) max hit is 59, same as monk pet (LVL 56) max hit.
Come on devs, the specter pet was way WAY stronger on live. It was a 50k spell. If your going to keep it bad, atleast remove the peridot reagent.

Emissary of Thule:
(2 bone chips & a Peridot)
HP Range 2400-2800
Max. Damage 61, Double Attack (random), Bash 40, Kick 40, Dual Wield (auto), Triple Attack, Procs a minor drain life spell (?)
New Abilities Stun ? (Peridot Required to cast spell)
The above info seems particularly relevant since it does not include immunity to fear in the new abilities section which places the information prior to that change.

Anyone else notice the focused pet doesn't even proc a lifetap?

Bump: Any further developments on this pet?
Maybe his DW skill is far too low? And/Or he doesn't have double attack on his offhand?
Lifetap proc rate seems pretty low as well.

Sorry to necro this thread but has anyone looked into this? Spectre pet still sucks and it's a shame.

Just a thought but when two pets are on an NPC I have never noticed that the mob beats on the pet with the highest aggro. Back on live, NPCs would always hit necro skeleton pets over elementals because their model allowed them to stand closer.
If an NPC is choosing to focus on an elemental over EoT my first thought is that the EoT model stands back further than the elemental does.
I have no proof of this so feel free to dispute.

Towards the end of Velious, the EoT should be immune to fear.
