Default Enchanter charming how to deal with casters

Hi guys, i would like to know how do you deal with casters when you re soloing in dungeons and using a charmed pet ?

Do you use AE stun when they cast ?

Im lvl 39 and have been soloing exclusively with charmed pet but only outdoor.
Doing the jump to indoor dungeon , which i find to be much more difficult to the trains and mobs being packed but also because of the casters and their dots like sham or necro

If you'll be fighting them often, it can be good to keep wandering mind on your bar just for the extra mana regen (it won't oom the caster)
But you can stun with a cheap flux or level 4 mez them

If your pet is a caster, you can interrupt his casts by making him sit

Mez or stun will both interrupt their cast. Your pet will immediately break the mez so all it does is stop the mob from casting the same way a stun would

It's horribly mana inefficient to sieve monsters to get them to oom unless the specific encounter hinges on a non stunnable monster not gating or CHing
Even then, just using rapture to interrupt may be a better approach

Indoors sit as close to fight as possible without getting hit, this helps in later levels where mobs summon.

On a break. Fastest stun and than 8 second stun. 8 second stun is enough time to mez, clicky reset icons and hit another mez. Recharm and go back to work.

Multiple mobs. Fastest stun, 8 second stun and then fascination.

I thought NPC mobs can cast while sitting

making a pet sit definitely interrupts their casting

Actually, if your pet is a caster, why would you ever want to interrupt it from casting spells?

Dots and dispels are common, and typically you want the option to mez later or you already rooted or slowed.

If it's a kill for charm solo xp the fight might be more even without the cast completing.

The sit interrupt lets them return to mele, so sitting the casts can be a dps increase compared to letting it wastes time casting. This is especially noticeable for higher level torched and hasted pets.

thank you for your replies guys, its very informative,I was as well thinking about casters you fight, not only casters we can charm.
By exemple, if im in a dungeon with a charmed pet (any kind of ) and sending my pet to fight, let say, a shaman or a necro mob, I was thinking to cast a stun as soon as I see the message " Soandso begin to cast a spell ".

Is there any other way to deal with them than stunning them ?
